Gingerbread Snuff

Anyone know of a good gingerbread snuff?

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> If not I think Molens would be the perfect mill to make it. Something along the lines of their new Mettaijer Maybe we could petition Jaap to give it a try if there is enough interest

I’ve written this here a few times, but if you mix Toque Absinthe and Toque Coke, you get a perfect gingerbread. You just need to get the ratios right

@sniffs: If there is enough interest I’ll try to find a good recipe for it. Jaap Bes.

Jaap thank you!

Every time I enjoy the sample of Mettaijer and Musino I keep thinking how good a gingerbread snuff would be.

I have really taken to the Mettaijer (in fact if Mr Snuff does not get some soon I will just place an order directly with you).

Anyway, thanks for all the great snuff

Now come on snuffhouse its Christmas…time to deck the halls and sniff the gingerbread…let Jaap know your in

The basic flavor of gingerbread is a combination of ginger and molasses.  A tincture of dry ginger made with dark rum might make a good base for a snuff sauce.

I’m interested!

I am also interested in this snuff…a bit heavier on the ginger flavor though. Those are my favorite ginger cookies.

Molens Gingerbread? Sounds good to me.

Now we’re talking…keep em coming By my count we already have 1/3 of the entire snuff taking world on board with this Good start

I found two recipes. The English one contains Ginger powder, Orange peelings, Worcester sauce and molasse sirup. The American way contains Ginger powder, Ginger flakes, Ginger sirup and Cloves powder and molasse sirup. So take your pick and let me know. Jaap Bes.

I love cloves, so if my vote counts, I’m for the American one

@snuffmiller: I’m impressed you found a recipe so quickly! Two, at that. I vote for the American one, although Worcester (shire?) sauce and orange peel in a gingerbread sounds very good.

Why did that double post?

I vote for the English recipe

I’d say the English recipe, if a vegetarian Worcester sauce was used.

Worchestershire sauce one for me.

I like the sound of the American recipe.

Worcester, I don’t know about that. I like the american recipe with what sounds like fresh ginger.

It’s a very difficult choice, but I think the English recipe would have more of a gingerbread smell. The American one looks like it’d smell more like candied ginger with an added kick (which would not be bad at all). By the way Jaap, do you know the plant fenugreek? Its seeds (commonly used as a spice, specially in Asia) have a delicious maple syrup-like smell, so you might find them useful in making the snuff.

Yea I vote for the English. I agree with Menma that the American recipe might smell like ginger candy or just sweet ginger snuff.
