I don’t trust the reviews on this because it seems like most of them were using the tapbox.
I would love to hear a description of this one from someone who has had it from a 25g or bulk. Thanks.

This may be a tad off tangent, but… I’m fairly certain that the “Kendal Brown” I received from MrSnuff is actually the scented one. It in no way matches any of the reviews of the “unscented” version I’ve seen, which all describe it as being “pure tobacco scent”. It’s very, very close to F&T Santo Domingo. It is highly scented (to me). If it wasn’t for the grind, I couldn’t tell them apart in a blind test. There does seem to be some confusion regarding the GH Kendal Browns. I’ve seen references to “GH Plain” being Kendal Brown “unscented”, and “Kendal Brown” being the scented version, and I’m starting to believe it. However, I have no experience with these beyond this one tub of “Kendal Brown”.
If what I have is indeed the scented version, then my review would be “Santo Domingo with a finer grind”.
@Jammer Gawith Hoggarth have two Kendal Browns. One has simply the name “Kendal Brown” and is sometimes sold under the label “Plain” (no mention of Kendal Brown). The second is called “Scented Kendal Brown” thats what reads on the label. The first is a very plain snuff. I think its even plainer than Samuel Gawith’s KB Plain. The scent should remind you of peat or coal, but there should be no hint of citrus or perfume. If not its always possible to have gotten a mislabled tin, or from a batch that sat too close to something smelly at the mill. As to the second one, Scented Kendal Brown, and to answer @cakeanddottle 's post, the Scented KB is much less scented than you would think from the name. This one is more comparable to SG’s KB Original. whereas the previous is more comparable to SG’s KB Plain. GH Scented KB has some moderate citrus tones to compliment the tobacco, there is nothing heavy or pefumy in it. Yes, I’ve had both from 25g tubs, fresh from the mill. Do you need any more detail?
I was hoping for floral instead of citrus. Thanks.
My GH Scented KB is a light Violet with Citrus. I also have The GH Kendal Brown to tell the two apart. Alternating between the two brings out their distinct characteristics.
