German tobacco history?

Hi guys, long time no see. I’ve been wondering are there any German users still out there who might enlighten me with some brief history of tobacco in Germany. 

Like for instance, as I recall there was a tobacco monopoly between 1766 - 1798. So actually Bernard which started in 1733 didn’t exist in those years?

How about the time when tobacco was introduced into Germany? Or when the first tobacco factory was founded? Any info on that?
