Gawith wild duck

Do people here like it? I find it very different from any of the snuff I’ve tried so far. Very earthy and easy to get a huge pinch of. Last night all I sniffed was mchrystals apricot. Today I can’t get enough of the gawith. Two total opposites but both pretty good.

I personally really enjoy SG Wild Duck. The “Gawith´s Apricot”, which is not from the same company, isn´t my cup of tea --but that is another story. The SG Wild Duck, i find very earthy too. I really like the whole peppermint sensation in it and even more in this top combination with the earthy tobacco tones. Very good snuff imho.

Superb snuff in my opinion; very nice mild peppermint scent in excellent tobacco base as always with Samuel Gawith products,

Still so many snuffs to try…

Absolutely First Rate with a great name to boot. I did’nt think i’d like the peppermint intitially but i love it. The dark tobacco and peppermint together give it a slightly chocolatey taste. Top shelf. Will have a pinch now in fact.

I just took it because of the cool name. Sales assistant ‘hadn’t tried it yet’ and I didn’t recall anything from here or elsewhere. Probably wouldn’t have tried Wild Duck knowing it as peppermint snuff. Lucky me, ignorance lead to wisdom: really enjoying the occasional pinch of Wild Duck.

Wild duck was one of my first Samuel Gawiths, and I am making my way through the offerings over 30 so far. Nothing unusual to me; to go from moist and dark to fine and dry. Or even english to indian to usa and off to africa. tip a few windmills then plug my snout with A Schmalzler. Sound like normal behavior

Wild Duck has long been a favorite of mine. Not so very good from tap box. Get at least the 25g size. Smokey, earthy, outdoorsiness (if thats even a word) with a touch of mint to make it ‘civilized’. Excellent blend. Just think a minty latakia and you will be close. Kind of like sitting by a campfire near the ege of a moist meadow. NICE… But then I may be a bit opinionated…

Nice snuff. I agree Basement Shaman…English to Indain, to America, tip a windmill, or tilt at a windmill, if you will… I enjoy all the snuffs I get in one way or another. Such a variety! Thats the main thing I enjoy about snuff, as distinct for smoking tobacco. I rarely, if ever, even smoke a cigar. And now my humidor is filled with once great, now dry and brittle, formerly good cigars. Every so often, I grind one up to make some rude snuff. My goal one day is to read up on the saucing techniques, and actually make a batch of snuff that is at least, respectable. It’s going be a while…

^ If your cigars are dry and brittle your humidor ain’t doing its job, you need to keep putting distilled water in your humidifier and hopefully rejuvenate your cigars with time.
