Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Brown

I would like to know how you, my snuffing brothers and sisters, like this snuff. I received the snuff about a month ago and misplaced it. I discovered it last night and been sniffing it all of today. I quite like it ! Something I’ve never had before is that this container has been filled to capacity and more, if that was possible. I’ve been going at it all day and the box is still full. It’s a bargain.

It’s one of the few GH snuffs I like (the one being Dry Orange) and I must say I really do like it!

All the GH snuffs I’ve tried so far give a nice little burn which I really enjoy. Actually once I get accustomed to the burn I end up missing it to an extent, once I got use to the snus burn I was disappointed a little for sure. I found this one to be a little lacking myself but have set it aside for future use and hopefully it’ll have grown on me by then, not that I find it bad at all now, just rather bland.

I’m not much for GH snuffs for the most part. That is because of the burn. Kendal brown just burns too much for me. I may try the wilsons.

I’ve got one can of this and just taken a pinch to refresh my memory of it and I’m not a fan. I find the burn quite nice but the grind is a bit too coarse for me, I’m pretty much a fine grind user. With coarse snuffs I always end up sneezing and getting a runny nose. But objectively…I think its a well made snuff witn a nice plain flavour and a classic of its type, just the grind that does it for me.

Found an old tap box with a couple of grams left in the bottom. The burn is much less and the scent is gone completely. I tried a couple of drops of water and much shaking. Next day still no flavour.

I quite like this GH KB offering. i think it’s top notch. there is to me, no burn at all, just sweet good tobacco. ah. Back to Time Team.

Could no longer resist this one! I had tried ordering them long ago, and suffice to say that it was too much trouble at the time, but Dave stocking them at Mr. Snuff was just too good to be true. I really detested the Wilsons KB, but this one is quite good, actually reminds me of the Samuel Gawith Kendel Scotch Black, just toned way down and softened, I get a clean tobacco with some soft peat/coal, and a bit of a burn which I have come to adore thanks to my Fubar Grunt addiction. I received a tub of this along with a superb Plain and Rose. I always wanted to try the original mill, and am glad I did. I have been undergoing a Plain tobacco shift that has me enjoying them all the more. Trying to build up to the Spartan try next, although I have a problem tolerating the Menthol’s.

Its been about a year since I had any Spartan but I seem to remember it being somewhat light on the menthol.

Just tried it recently myself, KB that is. Superb.
