Just got in a tub of FUBAR Toasted. Has anyone tried this one. All I can smell so far is ammonia, upon opening the tub the reek of it made my eye water and I thought I was going to lose my lunch. Is this because it is so fresh? I know some cigars will have a heavy ammonia smell when fresh, until they are allowed to set and breath for a while.

Yep, thats the gas it omits durning fermentation. I suggest taking some out put in a snuff box and let it air out for an hour. Seal up the larger tin to keep it fresh or decan it to a airtight glass jar.

Yeah that’s a sign of freshiness. Though the same does not apply to outhouses.
