FRUITY MENTHOLS

I’m not a big menthol fan but I do use O&G daily; when I get up in the morning and last thing at night before I switch off the light. When Roderick came forth with his fruity menthols, I first ordered a 10g tin of Raspberry and today I received my Blueberry and Cherry. Of the three, I like the Cherry most. I’m not fond of the straight Cherry but the menthol “tuned” snuff is perfect for me. It is well balanced with a 50/50 menthol/cherry taste. And, in the after glow, I detect Roderck’s trade mark, a far away rich, real tobacco flavour. The raspberry menthol is second on my list with blueberry in a close 3rd position. I’m glad I don’t have to chose only one but if I really had to, cherry would be my choice.

I’m itching to try the Blueberry, it’s on my order list.

I normally do not like menthol snuffs as they clog my nose, but Toque Raspberry Menthol hit’s the spot. A very clean refreshing snuff. Memories of a warm summer afternoon, drinking a chilled glass of Frabozen. A truly fine example of a Master snuff blender well done Roderick.

I made a mix between Toque raspberry and Wilsons Crumbs of comfort , delicious stuff. I also like Gawith Apricot and recently Ozona Cherry, bot are fruit/menthol.

Toque Blueberry Menthol just may be my favorite snuff. Nice menthol hit–but not overdone. The blueberry is perfect–not artificial or cloying sweet. I’ve heard some folks describe a grassy aroma (like a field of blueberries) in this snuff. And I definitely get that. In fact, that grassy aroma is one of my favorite components of the snuff. And of course, there is the Toque tobacco flavor shining through. It seems that the tobacco is a bit lighter in color and milder in flavor than other Toque offerings. A fine snuff. I haven’t tried the raspberry. But based on how much I like the blueberry, I ordered a 25g tin of it.

Blueberry is probably my favorite snuff, the blueberry menthol is just a touch to much menthol for me but i do say that it accentuates that grassy note quite a bit.

The Raspbery for me. I don’t use much menthol but this is one I make an exception for.

Blueberry has now become my favourite Menthol for use during the day. O&G still remains my early morning and go to bed snuff.

Samuel Gawith fruit flavours all have a nice menthol lift to them with a soft feel in the nose and a great clean afterblow i would describe them as 80% fruit 20% menthol and these are among my favourite fruity menthols very enjoyable. I am however looking forward to trying the Raspberry Menthol from Toque as i love Toque Raspberry.

The strange thing about the Toque fruits and menthols is: I’m not much for the Toque blueberry but I love the blueberry menthol. I love the raspberry but don’t like the raspberry menthol.

Jarhog, the very same here.

Good info guys, I hope to try these soon as well. It shouldn’t be totally surprising that some you like with menthol and some without. After all menthol is a mint derivative and mint doesn’t always go well with everything. I love a strong menthol with an iced lattee, try it if you haven’t already.

@ Jarhog - Thats interesting as i too love the Raspberry but not so keen on the Blueberry but i have not tried either of the menthol versions and am thinking about doing so could you say a little bit about what does and what does not appeal to you about these. I was not keen on the Cherry either as i found it very sharp in the nose.

Big Al - To me the blueberry has a sweet and sour thing to it. When I eat them some are sweeter than others but I don’t get a tart taste. I find that to be off. I think the menthol kills the tartness and that is why I like it. As for the raspberry, I have gotten used to my mix of Wilsons Honey Menthol and McCrystals Raspberry and the Toque is not the same. I hope this helps.

WOW!!! I’ve “met” a new “flavoured” menthol, WoS Honey Menthol. I was advised by one of our members to try it, sorry I can’t remember who it was. But, I have another firm favourite on my list, which is growing longer and longer. This is a wonderful snuff, with the menthol up front. Then, as the slight burn takes it’s leave, the sweet honey aroma comes forth and lingers for a long time. This is the most beautiful menthol I’ve tasted up till now. If you’ve not tried this one yet, you are missing out on something very special.

I get a lot of chocolate overtones with that one, Pieter. It’s a favorite of mine as well and glad you’re enjoyign it.

My favourite of favourites, as far as Fruity Menthols are concerned, will always remain Gawith Apricot.

Gawith Apricot is a really good snuff. As far as fruity menthols go the Raspberry Ozona snuff is very strong and very fruity, too much and my nose runs for an hour. It’s got such a menthol kick your eyes might go running along with it.
