I made a toast mix and I swear I am getting salty fried caramelised onion immediately on snuffing and its making me want to almost eat the stuff. After that settles down its the normal hay and seems later to be a kind of caramel. Maybe that’s from the caramelised onions? Could my nose have gone haywire? I don’t care though cause this stuff is really nice. I hope I can make it again but I kinda doubt it as I didn’t note exact measures and it seems to have only taken on this flavour a day after the final ingredient and I’ve been adding little tweeks over a week or two, even thought I had destroyed it at one stage and was going to bin it. I think this is what I used. Wos No.22 Irish Toast (pause just having another pinch) Wos Sandalwood Wos No.20 Toast Wos Lemon Toast F&T HDT and, maybe this is the secret ingredient? I know I tipped the remainder of a bullet of Old Paris in there at some stage and even though it was very little into the full 25gram tin I thnk it did something. It’s not just that it seems like fried onion it’s that it’s really nice fried onion so as some-one else said about another snuff this one is definitely moorish.

I always thought that would be an interesting snuff flavor.

Now you just have to figure out how to get Minute steak and cheese into that mix, or green peppers and Italian sausage. Now I am hungry

Onion Bhaji? perhaps also Dal Tadka? Kebabs, Sweet & Sour, Nuremberg Marzipan, Campari, Halwa, Kulfi, Lychee? Anyone from one of the mills/blenders/chandlers fancy these ideas?

I always fancied fresh baked bread snuff. Does this already exist? New mown grass would be another I’d like. Anyhow I don’t think this tin is going to last very long. I haven’t touched another snuff since I got this onion thing. Maybe its a bit like battered onion rings without the massive calories. I had just wondered if anyone else had ever had this sort of onion like result, and no I haven’t had actual fried onions in a while although I did make a beef stew a few days ago with lots of onions but I didn’t have this can anywhere nearby although I did eat stew for 3 days and it was delish. So by rights I should be sick of onion flavour but it seems the opposite. Give those ingredients a try and see for yourself. Shouldn’t need the Old Paris but then again that just might have done it? Another pinch I think. I will call it Creme de Onion

Makes your pinch fingers smell of Creme de Onion also but its nice and delicate. I just thought I would mention it as I found it surprising.
