Having read “Wrinkled Weasel’s” hilarious review on Bordeaux, I dived into my snuff department of my fridge, and decided to take Bordeaux today :o) Does anyone know if this “Weasel” is here on Snuffhouse? Bordeaux and Degas definitely go well together *lol*
I should mention, that Weasel’s review was of course on SnuffReviews.com…
Lol! don’t know if he comes on here, but he’s got me getting my Bordeaux out.
How are you gentlemen enjoying your Bordeaux? What does it smell like?
like awesomeness. Nice lemony front with a floral rich mid.
Thanks Bob.
its a favorite. love f&t except JR justice (which smells great but cause me odd pains)
I like all the F&T’s I have also except OP which I can’t smell at all in the nose. I’d like to get samples of the other ones so I know which ones to buy.
Oooh Old Paris is a good one I think! I think the Bordeaux has something similar to Princes? Not sure if it’s the roses or? Maybe it’s the Beaujolais Morgon 2004 I’m enjoying with it? *smiles*
I thought it smelled like church. Sort of like incense. I have never been to a bordello and the 2 times I have been to a strip club the only smells I remember are cigarettes, beer and sweaty men. The scent lasts a good 15 min. and if you rub your nose when it is gone and it comes back. If you don’t want to smell it all day use something disposable to blow your nose on. It is great mixed 50/50 with st. clements.
It just gets up my nose.
Jarhog - I know what you mean. We in the Eastern Orthodox Church use a different kind of incense than the Roman Church, but Bordeaux indeed also reminds me of that type of incense used in the Roman Church!! Interesting thing!
Love the smell of church incense, if I could find a church incense snuff it would be my all day every day snuff.
brain freeze
I’ve now got a can of this one on my next order. I really need to stop reading these threads if I’m ever going to stop ordering snuff for a while. You guys are all a bunch of enablers. I’ll be close to 100 different snuffs pretty soon.
My only fault with F&T is the low nicotine content. Maybe I need to cut down until it satisfies again.
Tried Princes and HDT yet?
Leman: Ha ha let’s create SA - Snuffs Anonymous :O)
I find the nic content awesome. Just means I take a lot of it.
Wrinkled Weasel: Not at all - your reviews are very funny and a jolly good read! I love Degas, and certainly agree with the Absinthe drinkers’ choice of snuff! Did you try F&T Seville by the way?
It is also funny to see how much people’s views differ!!!
Weasel - your sense of humour is very close to mine, so I for one certainly take no offense. The Seville snuff is one of my absolute favorites - I love it.
HA ha ha - thanks man, I loved your review. I absolutely agree :O)
It never cloys. The Bordeaux made by Wilsons and packaged under the name of Fribourg & Treyer is not, alas, as good as the genuine Fribourg & Treyer version. The latter sadly went out of business in the early 1980s.
Darn tootin’ …Fribourg & Treyer formerly used Cuban tobacco.
Forgot to mention -the original Bordeaux by Fribourg & Treyer was a blend of moist and dry snuff. According to a well-known person in the snuff world it can be successfully recreated by mixing 80% Wilsons Princes and 20% S.P
on cuban tobbacco? Has anyone smoked bankers by fox?? Both the american and the english version. The diffrence is that the english has cuban tobacco and the american has havana seed (it does not taste cuban seed to me , it is either that it’s cuban tobak or expertly blended)? I must know.
“But I was under the impression that only their Santo Domingo contained Cuban baccy. Was it used in other sorts too ?” Supposedly (also) in Old Paris.
