Morning all (well, it is where I am), on the return from one of her irregular trips to Cardiff, my wife presented me with a tin of Frederick Tranter’s Dr Johnson bought from the Bear Shop. Now, I’ve been a serious snuffer for over 10 years but have never previously sampled any of Tranter’s wares. I have two questions (yes I know I could trawl through the archives but this is more fun): 1. I believe they are now produced by Wilsons; does anybody have experience of the genuine article and are there major differences? 2. My preferences lie toward plainer snuffs (the Dr Johnson is subtle and very much to my taste) - what are the rest of Tranter’s snuff like? My wife reported thay had a reasonably large selection at the shop in question. Thanks in advance…, Dxx
