Just received a letter today from Stoker’s saying that the spring/summer 09 catalog will include price increases reflecting the recent S-CHIP. To ensure you obtain your products at pre-tax increase prices, Orders must be placed and completely processed by March 31, 2009. April 1st new pricing will apply. So anyone looking to make an order with Stoker’s, here is your notification to place orders before the end of the month or you will be paying more.
Thanks for the tip. I got my catalog quite a while ago, but haven’t gotten around to placing my order yet. I’ll have to be sure to do it by the end of the month.
I accidentally threw my catalog away with some other things. So I’ll have to wait for the new catalog. I think I’m gonna order some leaf and twist tobacco for snuff making.
Didn’t snuff only go up pennies a lb or some trivial amount? Last I looked it didn’t look like it could affect the price much, could be wrong though. That is some good snuff though, Stokers.
I’m considering ordering a pound of each. From what I have read, it’s really easy going stuff. Would anyone else be interested in chipping in?
I got the same letter today. Even with all the trades I’ve done, i still have quite a bit. I’m pretty sure the only size they sell is two pound tubs, cstokes4 .
OK, snuff went up 93 cents per lb starting April 1, mathematically that’s less than 4 cents a gram but you know how that works. Snuff will probably go up considerably more since one increase will spark inflation all along the line. When one pigs feeding, the rest come running, for lack of a better term. 
I put a request in for a catalog about a week ago. How long will it take to get one, or will they just send that spring summer one with increased prices? One pound is the minimum order? Aye-yi-yi, how much is it? And I thought these 5oz of Levi Garrett would take awhile to use up. Yeah, I’d split an order with someone, but I’d like to keep the label for my scrapbook.
Actually their snuff comes in two pound tubs. I think they cost around $35-40.
Liked the Stokers snuff that miami sent me, but I didn’t much go for the ‘drip’. Kind of bitter.
That’s funny, I’ve had some really bad drip nights, such a sour feeling in my throught I couldn’t sleep. I blamed it on manjul, maybe I was wrong. I better do an experiment!
I had a sore throat last night and this morning. I’m chalking it up to the coarse Bernards that I was shoving up my snout yesterday. When I get the catalog, I will have to look into making an order.
I Just wanted to mention i bought some of the Stokers Long Cut Wintergreen Moist Snuff (oral) today at a local tobacco shop and it is very good, prolly some of the best i’ve had.
