I was rooting through some old boxes the other day and I came across a very old circular tin of J & H Wilson No. 1 Top Mill snuff. It was given to me back in the 70’s, and I believe it once belonged to my grandfather. The tin is circular in shape with a dark blue label and the “No. 1 Top Mill” writing transition from red to white in colour. On the bottom of the tin there is another label or remains of a seal that reads “Canada 1/16”. Tin had been opened at one time, but still contains a quantity of snuff. I tried to open the tin but the lid will not budge. If I give the tin a shake I can tell that there is still snuff and that it moves around inside. Can anyone please enlighten me as to this little piece of family history that I have found?

Just a collectors item now, You may get a pretty penny for it on flea-bay. The contents are worthless. Keep it , sell it, your choice http://www.etsy.com/listing/74636164/vintage-no-1-top-mill-snuff-tin-j-h http://us.ebid.net/for-sale/vintage-j-h-wilson-snuff-tin-contents-74750295.htm
