I have tins of Dholakia’s Ganga and Kamal. I hate the way they smell. Not only do I think they smell bad, but they linger on and on. I usually prefer SP’s or plainer snuffs anyways. I’ve been getting more curious about British snuff and I’ve noticed a lot of them are floral. Do English floral snuffs actually smell like flowers? or do most of them smell like perfume like Dholakia’s florals snuffs do?

Ive found that it’s all different. I personally like the Freiborg and Treyer but i cant say the smell like a specific combination of flowers. I do love McCrystals Violet flavor though, it really is a very good single floral scent. I have also tried Gawith and Hoggarths Jasmin flavor which i like but is a little fake smelling too.

Toque floral snuffs smell like the flower imo. The rose smells like a strong rose oil, more pungent than the actual flower

To me, Wilsons has the best florals, and Samuel Gawith has the worst. The others are all good, depending on your preferance for florals in general. The F&T ones tend to be perfumy, but they are nothing like Indian snuffs. Some of the Gawith Hoggarth perfumed snuffs remind me somewhat of Indian snuffs, but I enjoy them.

I find Wilsons Wallflower to be heavily scented with what I think is Violets and Sandlewood. It is intensely floral, and the aroma lasts a very long time. I snuffed some last night before bed and was still somewhat present in the morning…also I am a huge fan of Wilsons Lavender. Neither seemed artificial or perfumy.
