First Snuff!

Today was the moment I’d been waiting all week for. I opened my mailbox today to find a little box waiting for me. I hurried back home and opened it, and sure enough, it was my snuff order from Mr. Snuff! I got the entire line of the QWS and McChrystals Mild Lemon, Violet, and the O&G I ordered got switched with Raspberry for some reason (I’m not a fan of raspberry, so I’m going to see if Mr Snuff will let me exchange it for the O&G.). I also got the Molens Chococreme, and the samples I got were Molens BonBon, and Dholakia Ganga. So, for my first snuff, I used the QWS Irish Coffee, and let me tell you, I think I’ve made a new friend in this snuff stuff. I’d like to thank everyone here for the useful and informative information that I found while doing research on snuff while I was still a lurker here. You are all very helpful! Much thanks!

Welcome to the fold! I’ve not had any of the QWS snuffs, but it’s good you like what you bought. There’s plenty more for you to try! :stuck_out_tongue:

For some reason MrSnuff also had my 3 tins of O&G mixed up with 3 of Raspberry. Wierd and I only ordered 1 Raspberry.

Welcome home. I’m glad you enjoy it. There are so many wonderful snuffs to try. Have fun.

wait until you start "jonesing’ for snuffs you don’t have and have never even tried yet and even though you’ve already got plenty of snuff already on hand and around you you can use, no, you just feel and think you *have* to have instead the unknown that’s on the way and not here yet (or maybe this has only happened to me, who knows?) :stuck_out_tongue: The first snuff I really fell in love with and greatly favored was McChrystal’s S’nuff. and oh yeah, welcome to here, etc.

@whistlrr: That’s called OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). I think we all do it.

@MrSnuffy Keep us posted on the Molens snuffs and what you think as I haven’t tried them yet and would like to learn more.

@N0mad I’ve tried both now, and the ChocoCreme is delicious. Very chocolatey, and good. Finicky for me to get down right, though, without it dripping into my throat and burning, but I suspect that’s just because I’ve not perfected my technique yet. The Bon Bon is a curious one. It’s dryer than my other snuffs, but still kind of moist, if that makes any sense. It clumps together, but it’s not wet. It’s kind of like McChrystals in dryness. It’s a coarser grind. I don’t smell all of the variations that the reveiw that was done on here says are in it, but to me it seems like the cedar chips that people use as bedding for hamsters and mice and such, mixed with baby powder. It’s strange, but it’s very good. It has a nice amount of nic, too. BonBon is probably one of my favourites, along with the ChocoCreme, Irish Coffee, and the McChrystal’s violet. While I’m taking about my newfound love of snuff, the McChrystals lemon is very lemon-y inside the tin, and when I sniff it it gives a nice burst of lemon, for about three minuets, then nothing. But God, for those three minuets I’m in lemon heaven. The Irish Coffee is good. It starts out smelling like straight menthol, but the menthol dies down in a couple of breaths and you get a nice creamy coffee scent. It’s not like a dark roast coffee, it’s more like a coffee liquor, or a cup of coffee with a lot of creme added to it. It puts one in mind of Baileys, but not exactly that scent. It lasts a long time for me, about 20 minuets or so, QWS Ice Cool smells like Vicks Vapo-Rub, but doesn’t last too awfully long. At any rate, I’m sure you guys have heard all of this before, so I’ll stop my newbie rambling and poor attempts at reviews. @whistlrr: Do you mean when you start planning your next ‘must-buy’ list after your very first sniff? I think I’m already there my friend.

@MrSnuffy:If you like the MC Mild Lemon but it doesn’t last long enough, you ought to try Wilsons of Sharrow Strasbourg. The scent is a little different because the fruit in it is Citron (in english) or esrog (in hebrew). Citrons look like oversized lemons and smell similar but sweeter. The scent is good and strong and lasts and lasts.
