After being blown away sampling a couple of tins of my mate’s McChrystal’s O&G I’ve decided to order some tins to see what I like. On its way is some: Wilson’s Grande Cairo Stammheimer Hopfen Schnupf (McChrystal’s) Fribourg & Treyer Macouba Wilson’s Apricot Ozona President Has anyone tried these before? What did you think? What should I be expecting? Any opinions welcome.
I’ve had a lot of snuffs but so for not one of those, sorry.

Wilson’s Grande Cairo — Excellent choice. One of my favorites_Stammheimer Hopfen Schnupf (McChrystal’s)_ – Amazing, another favorite.Fribourg & Treyer Macouba – Fantastic, I love it!Wilson’s Apricot – Best Apricot snuff there is, nothing like it!Ozona President – 4 out of 5 is not bad.
Im hooked on Grand Cairo at presantv - its fantastic, its replaced my previous favorite - SG Irish D Light. Not tried any of the others.
Grand Cairo is okay, nothing I’d buy in bulk.

@ Grommet: Cstokes buys Grand Cairo in bulk and then, not sure if he has enough, orders another drum of it every month or so. Every night he has to get it all out and weigh it to make sure its all still there. Its a running joke around here how much he has. These guys are just joking with each other and confusing you. However, if you do end up liking Grand Cairo, grab a drum of it fast before cstokes finds out.
Wilson’s Apricot- Very nice and subtle fruit flavoring. Good stuff. Ozona President- My all time fave. Nothing like a cool blast of this stuff early in the morning!
You’ve chosen a good selection there (although I haven’t tried the Wilsons Apricot, but you can’t go wrong with the non-mentholated Wilsons in my opinion). As others have said, check out Snuffreviews.com for more informative reviews.
The hops were a first for me and still one of my favs.
And it really is like sticking your face in a hop garland. Fabulous aroma.
@Xander: Do Willsons sell Cairo by the Bucket full? I’ll get a few buckets and store it in my wheely bin.
I got a cousin who is growing beer hops, to bad he does not home brew… I am pre asking him for the flowers. Now that I got me some whole leaf woo hooo.
Grommet, to you and me they will sell a 450g drum. To cstokes, they sell 5 gallon buckets, since he has to remain in a completely Grand Cairo snuff saturated atmosphere at all times. He is forced to remain in a confined environment and he has a special ducting and ventilation system installed that allows for him to remain in a breatheable (to him) Grand Cairo saturated atmosphere. This system must be refilled daily. I think he consumes a little over a half pound weekly, but I’m only guessing at that part. We have a picture of him in his tank a few threads down the page. Have you ever tried to maintain a salt water aquarium?
