I’ve only ordered snuff once before this, and that time I just got Poschl Alpina, since I wanted to try snuff out and see if I even liked it before making a big order (although I’m sure some of you will snicker at my idea of big ). Needless to say, I loved the Alpina, and today my new order came in. I got: 1 x F&T Prince 25 g 1 x Bernard Brasil Doppelt-Fermentiert 10 g 1 x Poschl Red bull 7 g 2 x Poschl Alpina (one for myself, one for a friend I’ve gotten into snuff as well) I’ll go through each as I try them. Today I tried the red bull, as I was curious about the strong hit. I rather liked the strong menthol/nicotine hit, it’s quite refreshing, although not too harsh. The flavour was a little lacking, this seems to be something you’d take for the hit alone. I’d order again.
Tried the Bernard Doppelt-Fermentiert. It smells like chocolate cake mixed with dates. A nice smell, although it partially reminds me of a local health food store, so that’s kind of odd Overall, good snuff.
“Big order” is a matter of perception… I thought that I had been making big orders too (800 g)… Then, last week, I went and purchased 2 kilos! :o
Tried the F&T Prince. Very interesting snuff. It’s strong from the can, and has a very tobacco/geranium/wet outdoors scent. It’s better in the nose, quite nice. This is the most “tobacco-y” of the snuffs I’ve tried so far. It’s nice, I’d be interested to see how the other F&T flavours compare.
Nothing wrong with that order Thuumhammer, you’ve got a good mix of styles there; traditional British, traditional German schmalzler, and a couple of mentholy ones (I presume the Alpina is, anyway).
Big order to me, Ive never purchased more than 2 tins at once. Well, once I bought 3 7g tins.

Yeah, the Alpina has a nice medium menthol hit that goes beautifully with the berry flavour.
As you go along your snuffer’s path, you will discover that the bigger the container is the less it costs per volume unit. Before you know it, you will be like me – living with the illusion that you are saving money by spending a lot more money!
My “big” orders usually include 10 or so 25g tins and 2 or 3 100g value bags. Its because I know what I like and order it in enough quantity to not run out.
Like a lot of things, size is relative to who ever has it in their hands, haha. My first order was of 2 assorted tin collections - and when it arrived I was all like " I will never be able to snuff all of this before I die" - now I actually wonder how big a package I can get from Mr Snuff across the water - I want to try every single snuff I see at least once… Your order sounds like a great order - and a few I have yet to try but are on my " soon" list.
My advice would be order a lot of small tons, find out what your day to day snuff is and then order a large tin of that. Keep ordering the little tins though, you don’t know what you might be missing…
Thats what I do, @Talljim I now have 2 large tins of wos honey menthol and extra menthol.
I’ve gone down the toast road. But love my menthols. Tried Aniseed Extra?
@Talljim no, unfortunately I havent tried it yet, but plan to some time. Got a vet bill with a rope around my neck.
