favorite dry snuff?

I need to expand my horizons. I’m up to my eyeballs in the moist stuff, which doesn’t do my clog-prone nose many favors when I have it in larger quantities (my favorite kind of quantity). So far, I’ve had limited experience with dry but I have a lovely wooden snuffbox on the way that is made for dry snuffs only (moist snuffs lose the slider over time). Any suggestions?

I’m a moist snuff man myself, dry’s clog me up. However, I still partake from time to time and I would recommend F&T High Dry Toast, any Indian white (learning curve, but worth it) or any non-sweet American Scotch.

The Toque toasts are all good and worth a try too.

Pure Virginia Toast from Old Mill comes to mind. F&T HDT of course. A few Indians like 6Photo Cheeta and 41Photo White Elephant as well.

Agree with all of the above! Virginia Toast is a must try and F&T HDT, Cheetah, White Indian snuffs, and the venerable Garretts, either the Sweet or the Scotch, both nice snuffs and come in those great tube containers and won’t cost you too much dough!

St. Casura is superb. Don’t miss it.

I will second @crullers and suggest any of the toque toasts. I personally have natural, almond and toast and marmalade, all are very nice and I would deinitely recommend. And whilst it is slightly more moist than the toasts, the peanut butter by toque is divine and isn’t very high on the moisture level imo!

I’ll add White Elephant to and Dholakia White to my own list. IHT #22 is perfectly fine and Toque Almond Toast is acceptable, but HDT is still in a solid first place.

Surprised not to see a mention of Sparrow Cool. Dry and fine, but with that tiny hint of menthol that adds a little in the aroma department.

Abraxas Dragün is dry enough not my favorite but a tasty, fiery and satisfying treat. @Shavasana : Both Sparrows are very interesting IMO, pretty different to every other snuff in the market which makes them hard to describe.

The easiest to take dry snuff to me is Viking Blonde. You can nearly be careless when taking it and it goes to the right place.

My absolute favorite dry snuff is SWS Lundy Foot. It is very easy to take.

My second favorite dry snuff is SWS Havana Toast. Easy to take but a wee of a pleasant burn the first 5-10 seconds.

F&T HDT and WoS IHT #22 are also VERY excellent but require a bit more skill compared to the above. Once you get it though they are relatively easy to take.

Old Mill toast snuffs top all of these IMHO but they are not what I consider dry snuffs. Instead I would consider them perfect.

I have about 20-30 that I love, but my favorite is Tube Rose.

After I figgered out how to take the drier snuffs … I’ve fallen in love with everyone single one of them (especially Toque Almond Toast and W&H
