I just tried this classic for the first time yesterday. Am I completely, out-of-my-mind mentally unbalanced or is it somewhat remniscent of Copenhagen dip? I wonder if Cope is secretly flavoured with African geraniums…
Copenhagen does have Geranium in it. Bordeaux
Well, Copenhagen’s competitors should seize on that–it’s seen as such a manly American dip. I imagine they could have a lot of fun with homophobic implications, real men like real tobacco flavour, etc. Of course, I’m a Bordeaux-sniffing fancy boy myself, so it wouldn’t work on me.
What’s so feminine about Geranium?
Hey, I like it too, I’m just saying that flowers and flowery scents aren’t seen as very macho in the U.S. It’s all just silly stereotypes, I just thought it was amusing.
It might be but suspect that because F&T is seriously old, suspect the dip is more likely reminiscent of the snuff!
@Mike B. Did noone tell them that acting macho is admitting to be a closet case?
Bordeaux never had the genuine antiquity of Old Paris or Princes. I find the new version of Bordeaux a great disappointment and quite unlike the original. It now reeks of cheap perfume like some old tart. Santo Domingo, although it no longer contains tobacco from Cuba, is actually very close to the mark and is immediately recognisable.
Enjoy your additions here, Philip…always good information on the history
F&T Bordeux similar to copenhagen?? Copenhagen have Geranium? Damn my tin of Bordeaux smells different than yours
Spit in the Bordeaux tin first, AP…now smell it ,see?
heheheheh Thanks for the tip buddy but i rather not doing this
