Greetings from Vancouver Island! Just signed on to this site here, pretty excited. Lots of info and great community it seems. I just order my first 6, 10g tins of toque on Friday, I can’t wait I feel like a kid waiting for santa all over again. Lets hope I don’t get dinged by customs though. Hi baconpete and welcome to the forum, it’s good to see fellow Canadians here. Toque is a great snuff maker and I started off with the 10 10g for the price of 9 well over three years ago. Just keep trying different stuff until you can figure out what types of snuff you prefer. I’ve had good success with customs keeping my orders below 200g. It’s a bit of a pain ordering lower quantity but not as painful as paying an extra 150% or more for your snuff. I am in Southwestern Ontario near Windsor so your customs issues may be different from mine depending on where your international mail comes into the country. There are great people and tons of information to be found here.
@baconpete Welcome! I know that feeling when a snuff package anticipation hits. When it finally arrives you open the package them make the hard decision of what to try first.

@baconpete It certainly is okay. Some people prefer it because it guarantees the freshness of the tin. It’s really up to you if you want to smell it or not. Let it air a few hours if you don’t.

Ah I wish! but its definitely similar to what I see daily. Yeah the island is wonderful, lets hope no earthquake ruins that just yet. Parksville is really nice too, its fairly close to were I live.
Welcome @baconpete I can promise you that feeling of excitement with every order (particularly of a new stuff), never goes away! The only advice I’d give is to find what works for you and try as much as you can, Toasts, Indians, Moist Snuffs, Dry until you find what you like! Happy snuffing!

Welcome baconpete! I feel your excitement. It is definitely like being a child at Christmas time all over again. Whenever I order I always seem to do it on the bloody weekend and end up having to wait the extra days… Idiot
