I like using the minor tins to carry snuff with me. its small, convenient and easier to use…for me…than a smash box. is there anyplace anyone knows where i can buy those tins empty?
Just get full ones and you get tins and some snuff as well!
I’ll start saving mine for you. I have one so far.
Just be sure to label them properly alsdrave. You most likely will want to remember what you are snuffing. Or not?
OK. “MT”
i peel the label off the empty tins and i make a nice label using a labelmaker for whichever snuff im using in the tins. @Xander…ok…it takes you 1 hour to finish an entire minor tin…wow…lol
Nice! Now get a nice box, a flat style cigar box or something to the effect of a little display/carry case of say 8-12 and you’ll be good for the day. I’m just saying.
I must start making labels for my snuffs; I have 8 blank ones in use now and simply can’t remember which is which even they’re different sizes and shapes.
Agreed! I use empty snus tins and labels are a must; I quickly tired of sniffing six tins to find out which was which. I don’t have time for fanciness, so I just use the little adhesive labels which I bought to keep track of my herbs, beers, canning, asf., and write it myself.
1 piece of scratch paper, cut to size, 1 roll of clear tape, cut to size, slightly bigger than paper, 1 ink pen, 1 snuff tin, to be labeled. step 1: write name of snuff on paper step 2: attach paper with tape to tin. It hasn’t failed me yet!
I like to try to write fancy and pretend my labels are unique. I pretty much just write the name of the tobacco in cursive… Perhaps I’ll design a blank tin label in photoshop and just change the names and print 'em out.
the minor tins are just sooo convenient…i usually take 3 minor tins with me for the day in my pocket 1 menthol, 1 toast, and 1 scotch. too bad for me that mrsnuff sold out of O&G minor tins…i would have gotten 6 more
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3046/tinlid.jpg I think this will be what I put on my smash boxes from now on. God bless Photoshop!
@ Pike Mopers: Cool with all the languages. Some of them I don’t know. Can you identify them, please?
love that label!
Snisin - Welsh rapé - Spanish/Portuguese Schnupftabak - German neftóbak - Icelandic tabac à priser - French tabaka - Polish Onjušiti - Slovenian luktsnus - Swedish
That is very nice!
Very Nice indeed!
I’d like to have my own tin labels but I’m hopeless with computing in general and graphic design specifically. I’ve tried to learn even on courses to no avail, but my brain is full, no new knowledge fits in anymore. Maybe I pay some nerd kid to design my labels.
