To say I like SG’s Elmo’s Reseve, is to make the understatement of the year! I buy Elmo’s by the box. Well any way, just today I opened my last box of 16 tins and was greeted by 4 tins not having the puppy on them. No biggy, I never was one for window dressing. Upon opening my first puppiless tin I noticed the "off gasing " smelled different. After my first thumb nail full I detected a “flowery/perfumery” kinda scent along with my normal Puppy smell. My youngest (the puppy fetcher when it ain’t close) said she noticed the different scent also. Does anyone know if SG has changed something in Elmo’s besides the labelin or am just going bat crap crazy? BTW I don’t mind the new scent cause it doesn’t hang around long. As always I took some to church with me (they think I break into pray a lot…lol) and with each thumb nail there was that scent. Thank you for your consideration!
Banjo777, the ones I have all have the puppy on them. I will have more coming in soon so I’ll know then. I don’t think the formula was changed, maybe just wicked fresh?? Some people hate Elmo’s , but I love it too. Actually this particular sort made me believe in SG again. The SG Chocolate tapbox incident almost put me off the brand permanently.
I know they moved shop and now share the same building as Gawith Hoggarths. Weather or not they used the same tobacco to make elmo’s could be the difference. It could be a different guy blending it also. Without SG presents on our board there is really only guessing why it has changed.
Thank you both for responding. The scent is delicate, not overpowering at all and will not turn me off Elmo’s. What I should do is open one of the puppy tins that was in the same box and see what I get.

Thank you Sir!
I’ve noticed a floral background in most of the SG/GH snuffs, I’m guessing the Lakeland scent permeates the production facility and unscented products pick up some of it.
I have a tin of Elmo’s Reserve with the puppy on it. I detect no flowery undertones whatsoever.
