Based on the success of the Apricot Snuff thread, I thought I would walk down the same lane if you will, but with peaches … I love peaches. I have over 30 peach trees on my property. I love peach ice cream , and love even more good peach brandy. Sliced iron stone peaches broken up over hot cat head biscuits and some fresh milk … heavenly. I like Peach flavored leaf ( chewing tobacco ) and so naturally peach snuff appeals to my on a simple level. My first snuff was (Sweet as a ) Peach Scotch Snuff. Talk about something to get your teeth cut with - this dry, harsh on a beginner fine powder is sweet, and smells more of old tobacco barns and summer nights than Peaches, but a rose by any other name … It was enough to keep my interest in snuff, but not “peachy” keen to me … I purchased an unfinished tin of THE Viking Peach, and found it not quite to my liking - the Peach is of an artificial and almost chemical nature, though still at this point in my snuffing career I do not know if that is from the base tobacco or not. Of course I liked it - it’s peach after all - but I did not love it. I also , from another member , acquired some unfinished Toque tins - one of which is Peach. Now, I will not go back and link every thread that boils down to “Toque knows fruit” - but there is a reason for this shared opinion. The Toque Peach is far and away 1) The best Toque I have had to date - i prefer it over even Whiskey and Honey or Toast and Marmalade, though that may simply be semantics as I love peaches so much and 2) the most “natural fruit” snuff I have tried to date. Simply put, two nice spoonfuls from my little set on the back of the hand, two nice sniffs - and my mouth salivates, and instantly I can feel Georgia sunshine, hear the Allman Brothers in the background, and out of the corner of my eye i see my old Grammy pulling a cake pan of peach tarts out of the oven. I am sure there are other Peach snuffs out there - but I will never know. So long as @Roderick and associates keep making Toque Peach, it is all I will ever need to get my peach on. Eat a Peach, ya’ll …
With that many peach trees have you considered making your own? I’m not sure how you’d go about getting the fragrance but I think it would be fun to try and mix some in with Quit or something else neutral. I also agree about peach chew, Stoker’s Peach is absolutely delicious.
I’m not surprised that it’s another win for @Roderick here. The Viking snuff is made by SG, and their flavouring tends towards the artificial. (SG Banana = snuff Marmite, discuss…) Toque snuffs, on the other hand, have no artificial flavouring in them at all, and it really shows in their fruit snuffs.
Very glad to find this thread @The_HP, I really wanted to try a peach snuff but wasn’t sure which to purchase and was eyeing off the viking peach since the blonde was so good(although scent not long lasting). Looks like I hit a home run with my Toque sampler as I got a peach :)) But still curious to know about the Viking. Did you find it “too peachy” or was it just the artificial nature of the peach scent that didn’t sit right?
Try Old Mills Melba Toast. Fresh peaches and cream in a most wonderful array of sensuous tobaccos. Not a hint of anything artificial. Next in line is Toque Peach, fresh and natural, just as you’d expect from Roderick.
I bought a cardboard tube of Peach snuff in some rundown old gas station in Mississippi. Dusty, dry, and reminiscent of old Mississippi

It will be close to my heart as my first snuff no doubt - and i do crave it from time to time, but I do not get “peach” from it like I do the Toque.
I have to jump in to defend the honour of the Viking base tobacco, as Viking Peach is just Viking Dark with a topping. I have a very low tolerance for chemical-y tobacco, and there is nothing of that with the Dark. It makes a superb mixing tobacco, particularly with sweet, floral and fruity snuffs. I’m even tempted to get some of the Toque Peach to mix with it.
