I like Dholakia Black and have heard that Neffa Ifrikia also has the dung, zoo, camel; whatever you want to refer to it as scent. I got the same scent today after I blew following a take of Toque Cheese and Bacon. I know that snuff recipes can be secrets, but can anyone tell me what creates the dung scent in snuff because I like it.

I could be wrong but in the case of Dholakia Black, etc. I’ve always thought it had to do with fermentation and possibly the type of tobacco that has fermented. I think the similar smell from Cheese and Bacon would be due to the cheese flavouring, sort of like a blue cheese.

The dung scent unique to plant eating mammals comes from decaying vegetable matter in the gut. Tobacco in a similar stage of decay has a similar scent.
