I thought while you enjoy you snuff it might be interesting to share useful tips on repairs that save money and might make you laugh I like crazy glue but not for anything that it states it can repair, I actually keep it in my box for cuts (yes cuts) You get cut, rinse with water then apply some crazy glue. Seconds later you are back to work with a bandage that dirt can not get to There is a product that is called “Plumbers Goop” and I have quick fixed plenty of drains with this and duct tape. You squeeze some onto the duct tape then wrap the area like a bandage. This stuff dries under any condition and the duct tape keeps in in place Whats in your toolbox

I’d say add electrical tape and some pliers- I end up using a needlenose most often…what about WD40?

Too many to list. but in my first aid kit; Preparation H. This is the best for cuts, scrapes, burns and blisters. I had tripped and skin my forarm six inch long 3/4 inch wide took off many layers. 3 days later all healed up no scab and no scar one week after the hair grew back only a slight indentation that I can see. No color variation. Just not for a sore ass anymore. I hear it works for dark circles under the eyes. WD40 spray it on your arthritis and it gets the joints moving freely. Works on stiff knees and elbows also. Removes most glue and even permanent marker.

Those Goop adhesives are great.

I have, and use, about 40 different pairs of pliers, some customized for particular tasks, and about 10 different hammers. LOL, @basement_shaman re the WD40, it also smells great.

A little behind the ears before a night out?

I’ll use woodglue for splinters. It sticks to the wood, but not the skin. When it dries, just pull out the splinter.

@mcgreggor57 Can I borrow yours lol

Although it’s not in your toolbox a cheap drill press it a must have. You can even get them at yard sale dirt cheap. I noticed that a lot of people like those wooden straws and spoons and think lathe but a drill press can do the same thing. You can either attach (2) bearings to a plate for a bottom guide or if you are going to work with the same size material, (1) bearing with the inner diameter in a press vise works great. When I am working on a metal design, I will make the first one with the press before I waste time setting up a lathe. Shaping wood with a slow moving press means you only need a couple different shaped files and emery cloth
