We’ve heard that private messaging is not working for everyone on the message board, and we’d like to make sure that gets fixed.
But, we need some information on exactly how it is not working. So anyone currently having that problem, please let us know where it is failing.
Can you not get a new message editing box to even load?
Do you write a private message and then it won’t send?
Do you write a private message and never get a reply?
Do you click on the In-Box Notifications, and the link doesn’t work?
Or is it something else?
Please be as descriptive as possible, and we’ll try to get to the bottom of it and get it working right for everyone.
I thought I had a problem at first, because when I clicked the envelope icon under my username in the left-hand sidebar, I was having trouble getting to any of the messages that showed up in the pop-up window. Then I realized that you have to click on the actual Usernames in that pop-up window to go to the messages. The whole message highlights when you hover over it, but the username links are the only part you can actually get anywhere by clicking.
So, please let me know what you have going on with yours.
It could be. The quickest way to your in-box other than the enelope icon and choosing a message in the pop-up, is to click your username to go to your profile, and click the “In Box” link in the left-hand sidebar. At least, that’s the quickest way I’ve found.
Thanks, @SeanOCDPx. I think it is working for most members (thankfully).
But, private messaging problems were on a member wishlist of things to correct. So, I’m reaching out to anyone who’s having problems with it, so we can try to fix whatever they are experiencing. If it turns out no one is having problems, awesome.
