Does your dog like the smell of snuff?

Mine’s not keen on Viking Dark…

Puppy goes after the Abraxas Cerise whenever he and it are on my bed together, so I’m giving it a maybe.

Not until they make an ass scented snuff.

Ha ha, fair comment @chefdaniel‌

once they get a sniff of something not too strong, keep coming back.

Mine like to chew the containers.

Nicotine in tobacco is the main neurotoxic compound. Not many people know that nicotine is sold mainly in the form of pesticide. ( Even though Humans seem to love it ) An example of nicotine poisoning is dizziness and vomiting.Nicotine is toxic for pets. The most common sources of poisoning are nicotine cigarettes, cigarette butts and even chewing gum and nicotine patches. Some pets are attracted to products such as chewing tobacco or snuffs that contain flavors of honey, syrup and other sweets. If the toxicity of nicotine reach 10 milligrams per kilogram of animal weight, the dog is in mortal danger. I don’t even let the dust fall to the ground in my house. I would never purposely give it to the dog that trusts me and knows no better Yeah 10 mg/per kilo sounds like a lot but in reality it’s not. Especially with small dogs and/or if your animal snags an entire un monitored can because you have now told your dog indirectly that it’s an ok thing to do for them to check out.

She usually digs empties out of the trash. Stopped putting them in the small trash cans for just that reason, but she did go on a Motorhead binge one night and got ahold of a nearly full Motorhead Grov snus can. I was watching her close for problems. Luckily she must have only chewed the can and didn’t chew the pouches much.

My dogs are deep sniffers. The eldest sniffed at a pinch of snuff ONCE! She got a bit much and I could see she had a bit of a buzz going. Won’t get near the stuff now. The youngest doesn’t like the scent of any snuff. (I learned from the older dog to only let them sniff the lids now.) She does love pipe tobacco though. As long as it doesn’t contain Latakia. The younger will stick her nose as far into a jar of Virginia tobacco as possible. She will sneeze and try to knock a lat blend out of my hand. It’s my test for smoking it in the house. If the dog doesn’t like it in the tin, SWMBO won’t like it lit.

Mine is always sniffing around my tins of taxi and NTSU. I dropped some once and he was on it like a shot, massive sneezing fit later, he avoids it now!

im talking a big chocolate lab, wouldnt dream of letting my moms little dog near it haha. not sure what she is, was told its a yorkie/west highland cross, but im not so sure. ![](https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/q90/p180x540/1966822_10152732939331982_976018315_n.jpg?oh=b66943476c2af3594da915bb94146a59&oe=546DB43A& gda =1416711574_1edf9ad14eacd0203a2c24eb5aa41031)

Very cute. Just realised why my dog turned up her nose at snuff. Shed smoked all my Marlboros…

don Bosco. Doberman Pinscher, Secret Agent Man. Stirred, not Shaken. Not sure about snuff, but loves cigars. Cubans only, thank you very much. His favorite saying is “The more I know humans the more I love my human”. Actually his favorite saying is " What is this dried up shit in my bowl?"

I like all dogs, i really do. In a parallel universe perhaps there are dogs that snuff. I can imagine an English bulldog taking a pinch. What of though I’m not sure. I’m trying to think of a meaty snuff…

Will they have opposing thumbs?

Id say a prerequisite, except perhaps they’d be using their toes.

=))

Nah… Dogs will want to sniff their snuff out of another dogs ass.

i think it looks like my mum’s dog would like schmalzler.

I don’t know about dogs and snuff but I always see my used snus portions plucked from my bin in the garage strewn about the floor half eaten by the mice.
