Does anybody like primus

Hm primus or other ones like gentle giant, can etc hmm hmm

They’re ok, although I hear about them more than I want since my oldest best friend is friends with Les Claypool.

Used to love them back in the day. Now still like them but the mood rarely strikes. Can? Can is awesome. Though I will say they’re very influenceal to me considering the whole if they’re inspired by this then I’ll check it out. Especialy since Les played on a few songs on a Tom Waits album. Had no idea who Tom Waits was and well all I can say is Tom Waits is freaking awesome.

Primus sucks  ps. for those that haven’t followed the band since the beginning, that’s actually a compliment.

@bob I will have to check tom waits out. I like primus but dont listen to them as much anymore. This thread is going to make me pull out some dusty cd’s.

Love a bit of Primus, Fizzle Fry is my fav album

*raises hand* Pork Soda will earn them a place in history as one of the greats. They will stand forever along side Mozart, Beethoven, and others. Even though they suck.

check him out right now. Tom Waits is the man.

Small doses and Primus are very enjoyable. Haven’t explored the other two. Watching Tom Waits in Fishing with John right now. youtube.com/watch?v=gdLyt2EsQ0Q

@bob thanks for the music lead. The videos are pretty cool to watch too. Very unique voice as well as the music. I would have to spend time just listening to the music instead of watching the videos (they can be distracting) to fully appreciate the music.

Tom Waits is a great musician. His early stuff is jazz his later stuff is like old tyme industrial carnival music or something like that. One of a kind and just a great artist.

I’m not a huge fan but I saw them live in 1992, it was an awesome show.

@Bob, there is a cool movie called “Coffee and Cigarettes” Its a string of short bits of a couple people talking over coffee and smoking. Tom Waits pairs with Iggy Pop. The White Stripes pair with each other, and Cate Blanchet pairs with herself.

I like the song blue collar tweakers and all the other classics. You all should check out “Sausage-Recreating” its one of Les’ bands other than primus. And they do a Good cover of Making Plans for Nigel. Wow that’s awesome your friend is friends with claypool I thought I saw him one time but probably just imagining it.

Yeah my buddy plays bass and is super into wine. So he and Les have some common interest. I think they met through one or both of those things. He writes wine blogs and does videos and takes classes and goes on win sojourns and will bore you to tears about it, but I don’t talk to him about snuff  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPhexnIJfdI

Yeah Jim Jarmusch (hope I got his name right) he’s great. Many great movies he has made. Though in coffee and cigarettes my favorite scene is the last one Wu-Tang and Bill Murray. I can recommend all of his movies. They’re all great.

Bob, on youtube there’s an Italian dubbed version of the wu tang and bill Murray scene it’s pretty funny. I also like to watch Charlie Brown over dubbed in Spanish, that is hilarious

I liked them back when Wynona had a big brown beaver back in the day. Haven’t heard anything of theirs in quite some time. Can’t hear their name without thinking “Wanna see me stick 9 inch nails through each one of my eyelids?” Who can make the connection there?

Yas i listened to eminem in wus 4th n 5th gradeconnect these dots

I love Primates. I can thank their DNA, spliced with alien DNA, for my awareness and lucidity.
