dear all, wish u happy new year!! would love to know your reviews about Dholakia herbal nontobacco snuff!!! regards namrata

I’d like to also hear about it too. I’ve been curious but Dholakia doesn’t disclose what herbs are in it and what the effect is supposed to be.

As a matter of fact, I have some in my nose right now! I’m not the best at providing in-depth reviews but this herbal snuff looks similar to Dholakia White, but more tan in color and not near as bone-dry, powdery fine. The smell?? I can’t describe it, I don’t know what I am smelling but it is a very subtle herby-scent with perfectly balanced menthol, not intense at all. After a day of testing many new to me snuffs, this herbal was the best way to end my day of binging. I used many Poschl’s today which always clog me up but a little pinch of Herbal in each nostril and I can breath again!!! It seems to actually have a soothing property to it, my rough nose felt so much better after a pinchl! What is in this snuff??? It is nicotine free right? I’ve tried most tobacco-free snuffs available from the supporter shops listed to the left but this one is now my favorite and may be the only tobacco-free snuff I re-order.

OK, I have been curious about this, but of course non tobacco makes one weary to consider it. But I went on and ordered this, and got it today. Well, I am glad I did. The only other non tobacco snuff I have has was WoS White Snuff, which I did not like, my buddy did, but to me, it was just high menthol sugar, and it clogged me up. But back to this Dholakia Herbal. Grind is fine, and color is light tan. It is sorta similar to Dholakia White Snuff in appearance. But it’s not a light and fine. It says ā€œBased on Old Indian Ayurvedic Recipeā€. I am curious what’s in it, I don’t recall the website saying. But, this stuff is good, I think. Has a good, though odd small, I don’t know what it is, but I do like it. It is mentholated, but not too much, just right. I really like this stuff. I know I just got the small fliptop and that’s all they had, and I’m not a heavy snuffer anyway, but I wouldn’t mind a bigger size of this. So, this is what I think, you might love it, you might hate it. I like it quite a bit.

I’ve had mine for months… it still has the wrapper on it. I’ll have to give it a shot sometime soon.

I totally agree with the reviews so far: It seems to have a soothing quality, similar to kava kava, but not quite so intense. Like other indian snuff i’ve tried, the experience is light and refreshing… There is definately something ā€˜odd’ in the ā€˜smell’ I can’t believe how much I like this snuff, and I wonder it’s it’s all due to the menthol being so balanced.

I think this is an ayurvedic formula for beating tobacco addiction, this snuff is soothing, but more than that, it does it for me.

I can’t get past the old lady bed sore medicent smell. gives me the hebe gebes. I love every thing else they make.

hmmm. more Posts of X-mas Past. started by Mrs. Dholakia herself. I’ve never tried it. Sounds too much like the old Dholakia ā€œgrandma’s soaps, perfumes and powdersā€ scent.

I like it, The grind is fine but easy to take. With proper insufination no problems going into the throat. Yes it is medicated but not overly so. Tasty, perfumy, ??? I have a 50g jar which is very likely to last me for a long time, but I have no problem in stating that there was nothing obvious about it to make me think it was Non-tobacco, which would be rather off putting. So, for what it is worth, if you like a decent perfumy odor, and want to avoid using tobacco, go for it!!!

I just took my first pinch of it and i feel dizzy

If anyone would like to know the ingredients: dry ginger, alpinia officinarum, ocimum senctum, withania somnifera, aspagus assendence, licorice powder and menthol. it affects me in a strange way. i do not know if it is supposed to do so, though

It makes me sneeze! ginger, galangal, holy basil, Indian ginseng, licorice, and menthol What is aspagus assendence? Asparagus?

I think so.

I think it’s another type of basil or ginger or ginseng.

I managed to contact with some ayurvedic specialist - he said withania somnifera is widely known as a indian ginseng and it is sedative, and also improves the immune system and some more. But more interesting is ocimum senctum - he said it is used in the treatment of upper respiratory tract. So Herbal seems to be very healthy indeed.

New Graphic for Dholakia Herbal Non tobacco Snuff

i just opened mine and its not dry seems to be kind of moist … is it supposed to be like that ?

I opened a 50gm tub of this today, and my opinion is that it’s very good. Balanced menthol, not overdone, and the grind is fine, yet it doesn’t fly to the back of the throat, like other fine Indian snuffs can. It has a very relaxing effect on me at the moment. @RedDevil, mine is like that too, kind of moist, but really a fine grind. Perhaps it’s moistened with a little oil, I can’t tell. But, whatever it is, I like it.

Is this the same product we had the pleasure to test a year or two back? With the contamination issues with the Madras Toast and stuff?Ā

I only remember it made me sneeze but I might want to try again…
