I love love love this snuff. I unfortunately only got a tap box my last order to try. I’m going to make this right by getting a 50g tub from Mr. Snuff. My question is to you all though. What kind of snuffs are similar to Sparrow or what kind of snuff should i try given that i like this one so much?
Madras.
Sparrow was to fine for me. I do like the Manjul though.
@ jazzi_mike: You’d probably like toasts too.
Sparrow is great. I used to hate menthols, but Sparrow opened the door for me. I’m going to throw Toque Menthol out there. Not really the same, but a very good menthol nonetheless. Edit: I assumed you were talking about Sparrow Cool and then it occurred to me that you might not be. I stand behind my statement, however. I second the toast recommendation.
I would recommend trying Quit With Snuff natural made by Dholakia if you like regular Dholakia Sparrow, you can QWS Natural in very nice refillable bullets priced cheap and also as a combo (1 bullet, 1 refill, & a brown hanky) and is also comes in up to 50g containers.
Also try Roderick’s Toque Quit. Superior tobacco finely ground with no flavorings. This is a runner up with Sparrow Green. As well as the English Toast styles that Xander mentioned.
Thanks everyone. I love Toque Quit, but it’s second to my first love, Toque SP Extra. My next order is probably going to be more English snuffs, as I haven’t tried many of them except for Toque.
sparrow is wonderful i can not stop myself snuffing it. In their website " low nicotine” is written maybe this is why i sniff it frequently. Next time i will try sparrow cool which has high nicotine.
@linguist I thought I saw Sparrow rated as High Nic, I was sent the Sparrow Cool by mistake. And it does have a great nic kick.
i can consume sparrow in large amounts without feeling dizziness and yes cool type is mentioned high nic but sparrow is low nic. “Specification : Color Light brown Texture Very fine (Think high dry toast) Moisture Very dry Nicotine Low Drying Factor High Sneeze Factor High Clog Factor Medium”
I think Dholakia’a website is incorrect about the nicotine levels in their products. In my experience Sparrow Cool and the “low” nic regular are similar. I find them both pretty high in N. Maybe it’s the snuff itself, or maybe that I take many small spoonfuls of these ones. I also find the Manjul, Kamal, and Ganja have a similar, moderate level of N. I also personally don’t have any"sneeze" factor. Fine snuff may make me cough, but rarely sneeze. I may be wrong about this, as other posters seem to get more focused on the nicotine levels than I do. I guess I’ll have to try some Fubar to really see what they’re talking about. The only overdose of nicotine I can recall is when I was 13 years old and bit off a big chunk of Day’s Work plug tobacco and chewed it, swallowing all the sweet, molasses flavor. About 5 minutes later I was turning green, unable to walk or talk… Snuff, no matter how much I take usually doesn’t effect me in a bad way. Sometimes I need to lay down…maybe thats it.
