I received some of this snuff from Namrata when she sent out her samples. I tried it once or twice and then left it aside. Yesterday afternoon I took some of it for the first time since I received it…and kept on taking pinch after pinch after pinch!! Lovely!! I have it with me today and it is such a satisfying snuff. I’ve hardly snuffed today because every pinch last so long. Another firm favourite for me from DHOLAKIA.

Yup, I am reviving an old thread. I ordered 6 Green Sparrow sachets about 6 months ago and they have been sitting in my closet until today. I was doing a little organizing with my snuff collection and finally decided to open a sachet! I sure am glad that I did! It is a great ‘plain’ snuff and after several pinches, I still can’t find a technique to take this extremely fine/dry snuff. I just let it hit my throat and roll with it! Just wanted to share my new found love with everyone!

Green Sparrow isn’t “plain”, its slightly mentholated and has been compared to a “Kool” cigarette, and it is my favorite menthol snuff, too bad I’m out.

Blue Sparrow is the mentholated one. Green Sparrow is plain, but has a bit of a nutty flavor.

Blue sparrow is great in a bullet, just fine enough to give a hiot and nice touch of menthol

I can’t wait to try the green. The Blue is one of my favorites. I like how the menthol is just a hint. More like salt then a condement. I really like the base tobacco smell of the dholakias so much.

I prefer the Indian menthols to the UK ones. They are less sharp, and don’t affect my sinuses.

Is Green Sparrow the same as Sparrow Cool or is it something different?

Sparrow Blue is Sparrow Cool, I love it but it’s really too fine grind to me, Sparrow green is regular sparrow.

One of our Vendors on this forum sent me a sachet when I had ordered a Cool bullet, I can’t read the thing I am assuming it was meant to be Cool, It has enough menthol in it that I only have to look at it and it clears my sinuses. Good stuff and probably will last a long time.

It took me a while to appreciate Dholakia as I was stupidly biased to UK snuffs, but now I can’t think of snuffing without them. My favourites are Kamal, Blue Sparrow and White, taken via a bullet which always feels close to taking a pull on a cigarette to me. I’m also now completely hooked on Fubar. Dholkia makes great blending snuff as well, my current blends are: White, Blue Sparrow and Fubar RandR - equal measures RandR with equal parts of JandH SP No 1 Kamal, 1 part in 10 with SP No 1 - just gives a slight kick.
