his variety is the only American type available at my local tobacconist. I bought a container of it while I was there last week. At the time I was making a return to tobacco use after a 2 year hiatus. I was previously a heavy snus user and occasional smoker. I have reached the conclusion that I am a person who requires tobacco for optimum mental stability. On to the snuff: As a returning user, I initially found this snuff to be difficult to use- it was always hitting the back of my throat and going down my trachea. It does have a nice burn and to me, a considerable nicotine content- I have gotten hiccups from it. After adapting my technique, I can say that I am really beginning to enjoy this snuff. The flavor/scent is reminiscent of dry tea leaves and honey. The taste is similar, although a little more bitter than tea leaves. The scent lingers for 20-30 minutes and is very pleasant and relaxing. I have about 200g of various snuffs on order from MrSnuff, and I did get some Toque Rustica. I may try mixing that with the dental sweet snuff and see how that goes. I am glad this forum is here- I have learned some good techniques for using snuff and have gotten some good suggestions for various types.

@erdoc8921‌ Dental, plain and sweet, are decent… I certainly partake in both varieties at least a few times a week. Not necessarily standouts in the scotch world, but they hold their own and I’ll always have them in my stash. In my opinion, I would let the Dental be and take the rustica on its own or rather I would mix with other snuffs from the other side of the pond that tend to not have the Vitamin N kick American scotches have. But then again, everyone’s tastes are different. BTW: Welcome aboard!
