I just received some Dean Swifts yesterday, Bezoar and Dr Johnsons. These are nice snuffs, the menthol is some of the strongest I’ve had yet. Anyone else like these, and what’s their other better blends? I’m really surprised there’s so little mention of these most excellent snuffs.
I think troutstroker said he likes a couple of the dean swifts but there seems to be a conception that dean swift is low quality been sittin around for awhile type of snuff.
Yes, they only come in the small tins. Wish they had larger sizes. By the way, it was pointed out to me just now that I had the assortment listed incorrectly on the site. All should be correct now. 1 each of all 12 flavors in the assortment pack. Tom
I almost didn’t get them neither because of all the comments I’ve read about them being stale and of poor quality to begin with. The one’s I got from Tom this past week are hardly either of those, quite the opposite. I considered the Sampler Pack too but there was a misprint, which is now fixed and a pretty good deal. I wonder if a lot of people assume that’s the truth after reading a couple bad reviews. Sometimes rumors can be contagious… I just wish I bought more flavors to try even though they’re a bit expensive, but the flavors are worth it, imho.
I hate Dean Swift snuff. It just doesn’t jive with me well.

I often stray from the crowd and at $2.50 a tin felt I could afford a clunker or two if that turned out to be the case. Fortunately this time it wasn’t, and another quality find was achieved! Now I can look forward to trying out some of their more exotic selections. 
Dean Swift SP is a clove snuff.
Yeah I didn’t care for it either lxskllr. I found it odd that the package didn’t say clove - just sp. I felt like I may have been able to pick up a clove scent but nothing like I expected or wanted. It was nothing like the smell of clove oil or the smell of a clove cigarette. If anything it was like ground up cloves kinda earthy and musty. edit - but as far as the packaging, that is the same tin - same snuff as I received a couple months ago.
I’ve only had the Dr Johnsons and Bezoar, both excellent snuffs imo and I highly recommend everyone trying them. I do have some of their SP coming in, hopefully today, maybe I’ll have better luck with a fresh tin than you all did. There isn’t a single manufacturer I’ve come across where I’ve enjoyed every blend.
Dean Swift SP is one of the few Dean snuffs I enjoy. Every one I’ve tried had a nice clove scent with a enjoyable burn/kick. It is SP based just with the addition of clove.
I got some more Swifts in today and sampled the Camelopard and Strawberry already. I plan on opening the SP either later or tomorrow as I have too many flavors going on right now. The Camelopard is like nothing else I’ve ever sampled and will take a few to decide on that one. The Strawberry though is the hands down best fruit snuff I’ve had yet. I bet some of the flavors might appeal to you lxskllr, evidently not all but some of these are really fantastic snuffs.
