I am curious about these snuffs, but I can’t find any reviews about them anywhere. Has anyone tried these?
They make cooking spices as well as snuff. Since I haven’t seen either of these flavors listed amongst their snuff offerings I would be willing to bet the two flavors you are inquiring about are spices and not snuff.
Oh, wow, even on mrsnuff they sell cooking spice. Who woulda thunk it.
Yeah it threw me off too when I first saw it.
couldn’t resist. These spices are ground between two gigantic stones just as the snuff is. Apparently it makes a difference ‘cold’ grinding. Dave
I believe @MrSnuff also offers a De K White Pepper spice ground in the same way… I would love to hear the story of anyone mistaking that for a white snuff and trying to put it in their nose.
I like to finely grate the whole nut, and add it to coffee. Seems to me Nutmeg would be a lovely addition to snuff and I keep hoping I’ll find a snuff with Nutmeg in it. (but what do I know about it?)
@Valiant: I don’t think adding nutmeg to snuff is a good idea. Breathing to much nutmeg can cause psychadelic effects. So I should keep it for kitchen use. Jaap Bes.
@snuffmiller, the amount of nutmeg needed for psychadelic effects is propably hard to get by sniffing tobacco where nutmeg is only used minimal amounts. It is a spice in the end and to capture the scent in a tobacco base would propably not need a lot of it. However, nutmeg dehydrates and this could be a problem in the nose.
I made the mistake with the white pepper. Couple of pinches. Actually, I quite liked it and for a moment considered putting it in my rotation. My wife talked me out of it when she’d stopped laughing.
@Valiant Try using ground Mace (the spice, not the personal protection spray) it’s the lacy outer layer of the nutmeg ‘nut’, milder and more delicate. No hallucinations that I know of so far, but I’ll keep trying.

Thanks for the heads up, @snuffmiller. I’m sure I wouldn’t put the two together if I started seeing things after snuffing Nutmeg! Yet the days when anyone would “spike” my food or drink are long past. @Omgroma, That is too funny! I wish I had been a fly on the wall when your wife was trying to talk you out of snuffing white pepper. It’s only human nature, to go where no man has gone before…, snuffing white pepper! :-)) @Chefdaniel, Thanks for the warning and suggestion. I do have the kind of Mace you spray but not the kind for cooking. I didn’t even know the Mace used in cooking came from Nutmeg. I put it on my grocery shopping list. Thanks! Oh, and please keep trying.
