I am as upset as any of you to hear that De Kralingse is going out of production. It is such nonsense for snuff to be included in these onerous regulations. The EU claims that scientific evidence is considered when making these rulings. This is patently NOT true. As far as I know there is no evidence of harm to health caused by nasal snuff. But this is not the first time we have seen this (the ban on snus is a good example), and it will not be the last.

The only bit of good news is that Jaap has agreed to do one final run for us. We are in the process of putting together an order. It would be helpful to get an idea of what snuffhouse members would like so we can put together a sensible order, you guys can order it fresh and get it into long term storage.

Please email Leo (wholesale@mrsnuff.com) with comments. This will give him an idea of the more popular flavors.

Maybe I will post this in a new thread to give it a bit more prominence.

Awesome. I haven’t had a chance to buy any of his snuff. I’d like to get a chance. Unfortunately I don’t know which ones to suggest. Choco creme sounds good. Don’t they also make a chocolate orange? I’ll have to look at what they offer and get back.

I am recently new to snuff, is De Kralingse an artesian snuff? Also not knowing the range what are some of the favorites and how do they smell? I would love to get some from this last order

@Aamon, I’d say this is an artisan snuff.  I picture Jaap and a few others making relatively small batches of this stuff, but what do I know?  From the grip that I’ve tried, they seem to be relatively coarse and dry, except maybe for some of the latakias.  I didn’t like the dry coarse consistency at first, but I’m glad I kept my mind open, because they’re pretty easy to take and smell great.  On paper, Prins Regent would not be for me, but in the nose, it’s quite nice.  The only one I haven’t come around to yet is the Son de Tonca No.1.  I opened it up, it looked like red catnip, I thought I accidentally ordered something that was not snuff, and still haven’t gotten over it.  A/P = smokey pine wood    Prins Regent = citrus fruit and some flowers

That is horrible news, I’m so sorry that these nanny-state monsters will not stop.  I just bought some prins-regent (just came today, actually!) but I have to say that the oranjesnuif is some of the best snuff I’ve ever had.  I will treasure those awesome little plastic snuff boxes forever.

I have contacted Jaap and placed an order as per the requests that I have had received so far. However, please note that since The Molens are not in production anymore, they won’t be able to send us every snuff that we’ve ordered from them. I am currently unsure which products we’re gonna receive and what not. Please accept my sincere apologies for this.
