Covent Garden/Segar Snuff?

Are these snuffs from this house/vendor good? Or rebranded snuff from GH?

So totally original Flavors made by GH or WoS for Covent Garden/Segar Snuffs? Rite? Not like different names for same snuffs for example Tom Buck & Queens WoS snuffs?

Good snuff, nice people and great service.  I place an order a few times a year, and get fellow travelers to get in on the order to defray costs.  I am a big fan of their Cafe Royale, which is as close to the old G. Smith and Sons snuff of old as any I’ve tried.

Another few weeks and I’ll be placing another order.  If interested, let me know and we’ll work out the details.

Covent Garden/Segar Snuffs are the only others I may buy. As I have a nice Old Mill selection and already have a number of snuffs. Just been interested in this snuff house. ^Thanks as well Chef Daniel

Any favorites/disliked snuffs all opinions from this Snuff house.

I have so far sampled the following from the Mullins and Westley and Sega/Convent line up Particular Jocks Choice Mature Crumbled Rumba Convent Sandalwood Emerald Mocha Citrus Delight Bearing in mind that the costs of these snuffs are twice what the nearest WoS or GH would be, are any of them worth paying extra for? Some of them, yes. Jocks Choice is a superb snuff. WoS Tangerine is about the closest I’ve found on their standard line, but not close enough. A kind of cross between a SP and F&T Seville. Works well, and I would pay the extra for this again Mature Crumbled is another that is worth the extra pennies. This snuff is to SP what Port is to red wine. Essentially the same, but more luxurious. I know that’s a piss poor description in many ways, but hopefully you get the drift. Emerald Mocha. Fantastic snuff. Buy WoS Irish Coffee at a lower price if you’re buying online. If you live within easy travelling distance, then buy all means get this one. Convent Sandalwood was rather uninspiring to me. Just personal taste. No idea how it compares with GH’s own version of Sandalwood Rumba is in many ways quite similar to Emerald Mocha, though the coffee aspects sits further back allowing the subtle and not overwhelming alcohol to come through. Works very well with base tobacco. Not sure it’s capturing enough to make me want to buy it again, but don’t feel I wasted my money either. Citrus Delight. Aptly named. The tobacco base has more body than the base you’d normally expect a citrus snuff to be built from, but the mixed citrus scent is robust enough to work with it, and overall is well balanced. I’d say this is worth the extra cash for a slightly more upmarket citrus snuff as a bit of a treat. Particular. The name doesn’t say a whole lot does it. I think this snuff focusses primarily on the tobacco blend rather than clever work with top coatings. As a result the snuff is very pleasant, but a pinch of this kind of makes me wish I’d had a pinch of Mature Crumbled instead…

I agree with @50ft_trad with regard to the Jock’s Choice - I have a pinch in my nose as I write this - and Mature Crumbled. They are both great snuffs and worth the extra cost.

I also have their Covent Golden and Covent Cafe Royale both of which are based on G Smith recipes. I never tried the originals so I don’t know how they compare but my take on them is:

Covent Golden - very floral! I like an occasional small pinch of this.

Covent Cafe Royale - I like this every now and then but I really do not get the coffee aroma - at least not of any ground coffee that I have ever smelt… To me it is more like Latakia and whenever I take it I end up smoking a bowl of some English mixture pipe tobacco to go with it.

Nice Chris sounds good. I’ll soon be loading up 50/50 mix of Molto Dolce & Mississippi River. Then tomorrow witch coffee Cupids Crest then a bowl of 50/50 CAO Eilleens Dream & Penzance!

Nice blends together

Have some mature crumbled in my triple tech right now, a very nice SP.
