A blissful sunny Southern Sunday afternoon spent relaxing on the veranda, carefully sipping a quantity of adult beverages suitable for filling a kiddie pool, and staying busy doing nothing much. So, I did what any intoxicated reprobate snuffer would do. I reached for a can of slightly past-its-prime Copenhagen and piled some into my protruding proboscis. The aftermath will become local legend. My buddies had to rock my head back and forth a few times to get my lips un-stuck from the bar and my nostrils let loose with what looked like Niagara Falls after an oil spill. The requisite sneeze registered 2.1 on the Richter Scale and my throat slammed shut like a screen door on a submarine. I ended up shaking like a dog shitting peach seeds and sweating like the groom at a shotgun wedding. Not bad at all. Good plain tobacco with a high pH and nice salty feeling~akin to inhaling sea water. I ran it through the grinder and sieved out the fines. Misted with a wee tot of Tennessee Sour Mash Whisky and proceeded with caution. Not going to be on my regular rotation, but now I have another story to tell my grandchildren. Somehow I doubt I’m the only one to give this a go. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences with this evil, vile yet decent snuff.

I did that just last night. My Copenhagen is bone dry, so it’s pretty easy to snuff. It has a nice geranium aroma, and the nicotine levels are All Business.

I actually jogged all over town today in the heat looking for Cope FC. Went to five different stores before finding it. What the hell, this is Virginia!

S

Must admit that I have considered trying this, but given your vivid recollection of the event I may just pass.

C

@SgtJon‌~give it a go! It’s actually pretty good once you get the hang of it. I’m not entirely certain of the precise impact a few dozen Mojitos had on the scientific method that I dutifully applied to this experiment, but I will diligently continue to pursue this*. With much smaller pinches…this sh!t isn’t schmalzer despite appearances. *Strictly in the interest of science.

J

It is worth trying and not bad at all.

N

@chefdaniel‌ +1 for Mojitos.

S

I do this all the time if I forget about a can I have open, very pleasant in the nose. It better when fresh in the lip.

C

I think the key here is dosage management. I think I’ll muddle some mint with some rum, strain and mist the Cope with that. Should be refreshing during the dog days; either lip or nostrils. Nicotine double tasking.

S

I find it still smells salty if you know what I mean, but it’s nice and not offensive. If you want it minty throw some Copenhagen mint into it for a few hrs to just mintify it, then add the rum and let it dry out again. Or keep half moist with the rum for dipping, let the rest dry out to stick up your nose. If Copenhagen mojito catches on you could have a million dollar idea! Lol

C

@Skell18‌ I was already into the rum concoction, and the Cope is all gone up my nose, so I ground up some Gold Virginia and Eastern Carolina leaf after pan toasting for a while. I dosed the toast with mint/rum along with some lime zest and I’m letting it cure in a cedar cigar box a few days. I’ll let you know how that turns out.

S

@chefdaniel‌ sounds good! Let me know how that bad boy turns out!

C

@Skell18‌ Not bad. I’m going to make it again before summer fades away.

i recently made a blend of red man with wb long cut and cope fine cut ground it with my fingers since i don’t have a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle (took about 2 1/2 - 3 hours) and sprinkled a shit ton of clove in it since i couldn’t figure out how to scent it any other way. it was pretty dry but pleasant the only bad thing about it is that about half of what you put in would run out the front of the nose or down the back of the throat. it had a high nicotine content )ive never had manufactured snuff to compare to so it really may have been low or medium) so it was decent. well i lost that can and i went out and bought a pouch of red man wintergreen cause that’s all they had and a can of grizzly long cut winter green i took a few dips of it and remembered how much i hate dipping now. well i dried out the red man in the oven and toasted the grizzly in the frying pan on low medium (got kind of burnt) and then filtered them both through some window screen and a really fine tea strainer. this batch turned out to be fairly moist as it eaisly stuck to my finger and i put a lot up in my nose (3 pinches and a big bump on the back of the hand). ive noticed that i havent lost any of it to a drip all that drips out is brown but with no tobacco in it. i may go to a more moist one. i bought the coffee bundle and a acryllic bullet from mr snuff. any thoughts on this bundle? if anyone wants a sample of what i made please let me know and ill send you some it would be good to get a review on nicotine level and moister from an experienced snuffer. i have a full dip cans worth so i dont know how that compares to a 25 gram tin. and a little bit in a container for home use.
