Most users here are from the lands of the United Kingdom and the States. Living in these countries, you get the best shipping prices and variety from either Mr. Snuff or Snuffstore.co.uk. My last three orders came from Snuffstore.de (because shipping prices are cheaper) and I’m pretty pleased about their service (and complimentary pack of tissues) but they don’t have any of the 6 Photo or Dholakia snuffs in the big tins, so I’m looking for the cheapest and more convenient place that also showcases the best variety (specially in Indian snuffs, as Germans and English are all well covered by most sites). So I wanted to ask my continental Europe comrades: what is your site of choice to place your orders? ( @Snuffvillian and @Wulfensteinsson, I’d be specially interested in your opinions!).
I use mostly Mr. Snuff, he has a big variety and very good service, since I ultimately tend to make big orders that are more effective shipping cost wise I don´t worry too much about it. He has a lot of indian snuffs and most of them in packages up to 50g (some 6 photo up to 200g). I´ll have to give snuffstore.de a go as they have some polish snuffs not avaliable in other places.
@Wulfensteinsson Thanks for the answer! Yeah, in the Deutsch Snuffstore they’re quite nice, not so expensive and have a few rarities, but the payment methods are a little bit more difficult than in another sites (they don’t even accept credit card payment).
I’m interested to hear about any other merchants here in Europe. I’m in Finland myself and there’s nothing much here snuff-wise locally. Shipping costs are important, but so are their selling prices. Tobacco taxes and such obviously vary between countries. I was curious and made a small comparison among three merchants I’ve used before; mysmokingshop.co.uk, snuffstore.de and mrsnuff.com. I used a currency exchange widget on my computer in mysmokingshop’s prices.

@Jari_T Looks like I was pretty wrong about snuffstore.de being the cheapest. Perhaps it was the cheapest on my first order, as it was pretty heavy on German snuff… Anyway, I’m pretty certain my next order will be with mrsnuff.com.
@MarvinLapsus , Indeed, there’s a quite a bit of difference between German snuff prices. I chose the snuffs in random among what all three carried.
I have also ordered from snuffstore.de believing it is the cheapest (I probably have looked only at the German snuffs). How much is the shipping in Mr.Snuff, because it really does matter (I cannot afford big orders at the moment)? Snuffstore.de delivery is 4,00EUR inside Germany, so it is probably hard to beat.
Yeah, outside Germany is just 10€ or so, not SO cheap but quite affordable.
Well, it does not seem to be so straightforward as Jari_T’s comparison. 5g WoS tins indeed are cheaper in mrsnuff.com than in snuffstore.de, but then half a drum costs more :S
And Toque 10 gr. tins are also cheaper on snuffstore.de, but F&T and Sam Gawith prices are quite abusive… I wonder why, since all these companies are English. The half drum is different wight (and design)-wise but still cheaper on the German Snuffstore.
@SKeG snuffstore.co.uk beats snuffstore.de on shipping costs: FREE. There is a minimum spend of £20, but after that it drops to zero. That special will end when snuffstore switches over to their new site which is imminent. Just so you know.

Postage for my last order (to Finland) was £9.99, but it had about 400 gr of pipe tobacco, as well. His shipping fees used to be about half of that a few years back, but he now only ships to Finland with the more expensive “signed for”-option. And apparently UK’s postal rates have recently gone up, as well. I think the only way to find the real cost is to fill up the “Warenkorb” and make a tentative/mock order.
@MrSnuff Thanks so much for the info! My order has just arrived in perfect condition. Shipping was not only free but also fast as a Cheetah (coincidentally, one of the snuffs in my order), taking less than 6 days to arrive. I still don’t know about the average cost in comparison with Snuffstore.de, but shipping is faster indeed.
@MarvinLapsus Sorry for the delay in answering you (Holidays, you know B-) I-) ). I arrived too late, but my suggestion would have been the same choice you´ve made: Snuffstore.co.uk. Free shipping (sometimes), zero problems and correct prices. To me, the best overall for now in English and some Indian (6photo) snuffs. But whenever I´ve placed an order of German snuffs only (or mostly), I´ve chosen Snuff and more.de. They have better prices in schmalzlers, Bernard,etc … but they don´t use english in their website (albeit no problem using it in emails). They offer a good service, too.
I’m in Holland so of course I order directly from De Kralingse Molens, where I always pick up my order in person since I live close to Rotterdam. That is a privilige I save shipping costs and have a nice afternoon at the windmills! Besides that I regularly order from McChrystals, Wilsons and Toque directly. They all have low shipping costs. For special snuffs that are not made by them, I go to Mr. Snuff but I must say costs are high there as well as their prices. Ordering directly from the manufacturer is always cheaper and they have bulk sizes. I think you can also buy Indian snuffs directly from India. Give it a try they are trustable enough.
