I’ve just finished reading through a few threads whose posts gave me pause, brought this question to mind. Does the snuffhouse community have a preference with respect to where reviews are posted? Before posting my recent attempts I did run a few searches to see if there were existing reviews on the snuffs I had in mind. Did that to determine if there was an existing related thread or not. Trying to be neat! I did notice that explicit reviews seem to be few here at snuffhouse. Is it more preferred or expected to place reviews on SnuffReviews.com? Or is it of no consequence either way? This is an aspect of the community here I’ve not quite sussed out and I would like to conform (-;
I would prefer to read your reviews at snuffreviews.com. Filek is asking for reviews at Top25.com. Toque, snuffstore, and most other retailers are ready for comments. This forum as of yet is not so useful to the review reviewer, but I would not discourage any postings of such. I have found snuffreviews.com most useful for myself.
Snuffreview.com is a great idea and a lot of work went into it from people here. However, for whatever reason, the owner (I think its a member here - or was - called Dejawu or something similar) no longer has any input on it. Clearly, he has paid to keep the site on the net so far but to date his last editorial comments are over a year old, apart from a pargraph on the front page saying he hasn’t had time etc. I have no issue either way with that but there is a real danger that the site will simply dissapear one day and as such I no longer post there. My personal thoughts would be that we have some kind of review section on this site. Snuffreview isn’t linked in any way to this site - its just happens that members here put a lot of reviews on there - so back up anything you do post if it means anything to you. My personal view is that sooner or late it will just not be there. The owner claimed he was going to do some ‘houskeeping in the next week’ months ago and that was the last comment, so one can only assume he isn’t arround anymore and once the sub is up that will be it.
