Cold weather snuffing

Since winter fell upon us, I’ve been pinching more than normal. I filled up a Patrick box with F&T HDT last night and I will have to fill up again tonight. In the same time I’ve almost finished off 3.5g of McC Clove. Plus some Rooster and NTSU. Are there any other members who find that they use more snuff during cold winter’s days?

That sounds so funny to me Pieter, as it’s summer time here! Of course in Miami it’s warm year round…

I think we have a total of 5 cold days, so I can’t relate! However, I find myself snuffing more on super hot days to get my mind off of the heat. Plus the Florida humidity helps to bring out scents in snuff!

Yes I tend to snuff much more in the winter months. Too active in the summer time, seems like when I am stuck indoors I tend to snuff double the usual amount.

I’m snuffing constantly, warm or cold. The only time I don’t snuff is when sleeping, at which time I’m dreaming of snuff.

I would love to experience winter snuffing. Unfortunately I now live in Phoenix, AZ. We have two seasons: Summer and not quite as hot as summer.

I Snuff the four seasons. That’s Winter, Spring, Summer & Autumn. I’m British and the weather, nor nobody ever dictates on what I should be snuffing.

The cold weather doesn’t really change how much I snuff, but rather what snuffs I use. When it is very cold, I stay away from menthols and other cooling snuffs in favor of warmer ones. There’s nothing worse than going out in -30F weather with a nose already frozen by Hedges.

I always enjoy it more in winter for some reason, my consumption definitely goes down when its hot. Mind you, in the UK thats about twice a year if we’re lucky…

Depends on the humidity. Although, I travel for a living, and the humidity changes daily as a result. There’s nothing quite like getting off a flight in Jackson Mississippi in July and having my Molens Macuba hit me full force, going from 0 humidity to 99% in five seconds though. Or even June in Wisconsin, opening the door to let the dog out. WAM!

@miamimark - Interesting. Miami has a weather like Mumbai I suppose where it is humid and hot for 6-8 months in a year? Even so, you can relate to the climate I have - hot, humid. In such a case, do you have a concern with moisture in snuffs, or are you ok airing them once in a while. How do you store your snuff?

Also, if I have a moist snuff which has clumped and the taste is milder than another small pack I tried, would you know what to do to dry it out? How? Will that help? Is there a way to dry this snuff out or make it release its fragrance better?

Any advice is very much appreciated.
