Any techniques on taking a cleaner pinch

I sometimes pack my tin like it was dip, opener up its packed nice and i can grab a nice pinch off the top of the edge of the packed snuff and I’ve notice ive wasted less. If thats what you mean and only really works if the tin has a decent amount of snuff in it

practice. It kind of happens if you keep trying. Not really any technique so to speak as much as a nack. 

Smaller pinches. It’s easier to take a second pinch, than to recover the snuff that’s just fallen down your front.

snuff spoon and then placing it for boxcar if you are not set to pinching
pretty clean except for some that gets stuck under the nail over time
i find with boxcar its easier to aim for the nostril so less snuff mustaches
