Well, today I will present San Christobel Revelation - rolled at the My Father Cigar factory in Nicaragua. Gorgeous band, slid construction, box pressed. Sumatran wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and fillers. Dark, oily, toothy wrapper. Lovely prelight aroma with mild barnyard undertones. (I know, it sounds add, but this is almost always a strong indicator of a good experience to come). Easy draw. Took a bit of effort to get it burning but once established burned well. Nice retrohale. Solid medium gray ash. Medium to full body/flavor. Complex with notes of cedar, leather, pepper, smoke and just overall goodness. Yes I liked this one. Enjoyed to the finger burning nub.

Today’s installment is Humo Jaguar 2011. Created by Nestor Placencia and distributed by Miami Cigar. I’ve had this cigar in one of my many humidors for 12 years now. It has aged extremely well. Solid construction with an oscuro wrapper and Honduran binder and filler. slightly toothy with a few veins but shiny with oils. An earthy leather prelight aroma. Slightly tight draw that opened up well as it burned. Loads of fragrant smoke that was very pleasant. Did require one touch up but otherwise burned well. Ñice flavor that delivers earth, leather, old smoke and cedar notes. Not at all out of balance at any time. Solid medium gray ash. I only wish I had many more. Will have to console myself with the 2 I have remaining.
