I’m a chef by trade, unfortunately disabled so I spend my time applying my culinary skills and passion for snuff into making unusual hand crafted snuffs. My latest project is a Cigar Snuff; due to the cost of the ingredients I will need some help pulling this off financially. I will provide details and an Excel spreadsheet for costs. Total will be less than $100 USD and yield approximately 900 Grams. If interested please IM me on Snuffhouse. I have access to some wonderful 100% Natural Nicaraguan Ligero filler leaf. Very high in nicotine, it provides the kick in Nicaraguan cigars. The flavor in a cigar is bold and spicy with some coffee and chocolate notes. I’m not sure what it would be like in a snuff, but I think it would be a wonderful base for a lightly scented Full Strength Snuff Behemoth. Coarse, moist, dark: LIGHTLY scented with Black Jamaican Rum, Espresso, Cocoa and Vanilla Beans, then aged in Spanish Cedar cigar boxes. I would send out samples to each party as the project progresses to get input. Please let me know. Cheers
Good luck with it. I got a ball mill a while back, gets a great grind, but I haven’t found the right tobacco yet. I could get good cheap cigar filler tobacco here, I thought about it the other day. I’ll watch your project with interest.
Good luck, this sounds like an interesting project. I love cigar snuffs, however, have only made them out of cigars that I have bought several of and did not initially care for. Ironically from my experience, mediocre cigars yields wonderful snuff. However, it sounds like you are going to be using some quality tobacco for this project, which makes me wonder how it is going to turn out. @chefdaniel Overall, very cool project, there are certainly not enough cigar snuffs in the world!
I also have a ball mill, and can highly recommed one for making snuff. Tip: a Harbor Freight rock tumbler makes an excellent ball mill for around $40, less with a coupon.
