I didn’t think I would like chocolate, but have somehow managed to run out. I find it mellowing. I’ve read the reviews of Toque, Dholakia Swiss, and De Kralingse, but would very much appreciate hearing experienced takes on the pros and cons of the different ones. Also, what’s the difference in Dholakia Limited Chocolate and their Swiss Chocolate? Which Mint is complementary? What mixes?

T

Dholakia Swiss Chocolate is awesome - it really and truly has the flavour of real Swiss chocolate. Toque Chocolate is good too, but not quite as creamy tasting, to me. I haven’t tried de Kralingse, but I’ve heard good things about it, nor have I tried Dholakia’s Limited range.

P

I’ve tried all the chocolates and, for me, there is but one; Dholakia Swiss Chocolate.

M

Dholakia Swiss Chocolate is Really chocolaty…really really. Toque Chocolate is quite a bit more mild and to me, the flavor doesn’t last nearly as long, but I found it to be the more balanced of the two. De Kralingse is still on my “to try” list.

T

Da Kralingse is very good, and different than the other 2. It’s sorta light and fluffy to me. Has good choco flavor.

C

Toque tastes like a more fancy chocolate to me. Or like a chocolate liqueur. Dholakia is super chocolaty. Great if you are having a sweets craving. The Da Kralingse reminds me of hot chocolate.

X

Carol has it right on all three. Toque is indeed very liquer like, its also slightly fruity. The Dholakia limited tastes pretty much identical to the Swiss Chocolate, but not as strong and the tobacco is a bit more prominent. Its also a finer grind. Don’t rule out Samuel Gawith chocloate! Toque is the one I like best, but other tastes differ.

B

De Kralingse That is the standard I judge all other chocolates on. I like them all including the Samuel G and even Paul Gotard. Not crazy about Dholakia…but that is my opinion.

C

I also love De Kralingse. Their Choco, Chococreme, and Chocomint Snuif are the best.

H

I ordered the De Kralingse Choco, Chococreme, and Chocomint Snuif, Toque, and Dholakia Swiss Chocolate. I’ll get the Samuel Gawith and Paul Gotard next. Thanks everybody.

Z

Herzl habst eine susser-Nase. I’m going to try some of that De Kralingse Chococreme this Fall…I’ve read good reviews on it. Speaking of liquer… an Amoretto flavored snuff might be interesting.

B

@Herzl Nice order. You will be in chocolate heaven.

C

Er hat eine süßer Nase. Don’t forget some Latakia Choco’s from De Kralingse.

H

@cstokes4 Wir werden sehen, wie gut meine schnoz ist. Du weißt, ich werde es mit Scotch-Mix ja? Latakia Ao 1860 Is this the one? If so, it’s coming with: Choco Snuif Chococreme Chocomint Snuif Dholakia Swiss ChocolateToque Chocolate Spanish Jewel/Gem Fribourg & Treyer Princes

C

Ja sehen wir. Die holländischen Schokoladen sind das Beste. Latakia ist das smokey eins.

R

It´s quite astonishing, how much the different chocolate snuffs differ in taste. Even the De Kralingse (EXCELLENT STUFF!) are very different whether they´re the Virginia or Latakia Chocolate ones. To me the Paul Gotard Chocolate is as much matching the Dholakia Swiss Chocolate, that I hardly can taste any difference. The only chocolate snuff I´ve had and didn´t like, was the Sam Gawith one. Maybe it´s a typical english kind of chocolate (no offense, but I just can´t associate the flavour with any chocolate available in Germany)? The Wilsons Chocolate Orange is also very worth a try. A bit short lived in the nose, but very delicious.

T

Yes, the WoS Chocolate Orange is good, I like that. Also Temptation’s Orange Chocolate is good.

C

I make a custom chocolate orange from the Toque chocolate and the St Clements. It’s very yummy! 1 part St Clements, 3 parts chocolate.

S

Just tried the De Kralingse Chococreme-L, which uses Latakia, and wow, its the best chocolate flavored snuff I’ve tried so far. The smokiness of the latakia and the chocolate compliment each other so well.

K

Does anyone get a weird “aftertaste” after taking the Swiss Chocolate -Kidnapper

C

@Kid: All the time, which is why I stick to the De Kralingse blends.

U

Resurrecting this older discussion, because I love chocolate. My first choco was Goddard, which I liked very much. But… I just snuffed some deKraling’s Choco (Virginia), and I must say it is delicious. I have some Dholakia on order, but I noticed here that no one has yet addressed the difference between the Limited and the stuff currently for sale? No I absolutely have to try the Latakia deKraling’s chocolates, and the ChocoCreme. Not very interested in ChocoMint of either the Virginia or Latakia varieties. Back to the deKraling’s…man, this snuff is good. Seems to have moderate nicotine though, so I need to slow down. Grin.

_

Has anybody tried Wilson’s Chocolate yet? I would like to hear about it…

T

Maybe its just me and the batch I got but the Swiss Chocolate I have tastes like grunt and then I get the rich chocolate aroma. Not bad, just different from the Toque or WoS chocolate orange.@kidnapper I don’t know if that’s what your referring to but it could be. Swiss chocolate was not quite what I expected although the chocolate flavor is rich when I’m not getting the musty leathery old taste of Grunt.

S

The Dholakia Swiss Chocolate is the best I have tried.

S

I stopped snuffing for awhile using homeopathy and vape I started again the first snuff I had was Samuel Gawith Chocolate and it was like wow so nice ! When I tried it a few months it did not seem so nice but I guess it’s just the feeling after having not snuffed for a month !

B

FUBAR Bohica would be a great chocolate snuff and it is as long as you don’t get any in your nose. But man that snuff smells great and so tempting to take a large pinch. This Bohica has to be straight from across the river styx . No joke, beautiful chocolate holy hell fire hot.

S

^ BOHICA has a nice scent?  I missed out on that.  I must have been too distracted by the amount of fluid coming out of my face.  Aside from the chocolate latakias from De Kralingse, I’ve been a fan of Toque USA Chocolate (haven’t had the regular Toque Chooclate).  It has a nice sweet lingering scent.

B

@SeanOCDPx  if you haven’t disposed of it or used it to deter squirrels. Just open it up and smell the chocolate it is wonderful and so deceiving. It is hard to do Bohica because your focused on the pain it inflicts. You only have a short window just before the faucet is turned on to say this not bad and then it builds heat and douche out all the glands in and on your head.

Bohica is an experience one never forgets

S

I already gifted it  >:)   I know what you mean though, I like the scent of Doolali Tap before the heat comes.

1

no mention of McChrystal’s chocolate ?, u missin’ out… !!

A

Yeah I was wondering what is McChrystals Chocolate is like? Is it new I don’t believe I have seen it until recently?

M

Dholakia Swiss Chocolate…use it often for a last snuff of the evening.  And now that reminds me

N

Working on my own chocolate spice concoction with use of some past pull date snuff. Will post comments if it doesn’t kill me.

S

The only chocolate I’ve tried was the Sam Gawith chocolate.  This was about 10 years ago.  It had been a discontinued flavor and this guy from the old Yahoo board (Nicky the Nose) got them to make up a custom batch.  It was fan-freakin’-tastic.  I see they produce it again on the regular.  I’m gonna order some soon.

B

@Abraxas cafe11 although a coffee snuff has a nice chocolate undertone. This is the best in my world

J

Not a big chocolate fan, but I tried Molens Chocomint and Wilson’s chocolate orange. I really like them both.

S

I just got an order of Dholakia Swiss Chocolate in the post today and tried it straight away. I could smell the chocolate before taking the lid off. That distinct! It has a gentle burn and a strong smell of Swiss chocolate that lingered far longer than almost any of the other snuffs I have tried. I would really recommend this one. I am a beginner so I cannot comment on the nicotine hit but it seems pretty good to me. As a newbie it was also really easy to take. All I can say is wow I think it just became my new favourite.

S

I was wondering do we get magnesium when we use chocolate snuff ?

M

I never thought I’d go for a chocolate snuff, but 6Photo Chocolicious is my favorite in this category. Nice milk-chocolate mixed expertly with a uplifting blast of menthol. Really good.

G

I have not tasted the others, but have had Dholakia Swiss. Amazing chocolate flavour. Had some in a closed room and a colleague just came in and commented that she could smell an amazingly sweet chocolate aroma! I had to buy her a real chocolate to fix her chocolate fix!

P

I agree @mrmanos . I don’t think Chocolicious gets enough love . It’s very different , more of a utilitarian ‘drinking chocolate’ than a rich sweet chocolate . I only bought it on a whim because it had the Natural base . Now it’s in my daily rotation  and likely to stay there .

I have had one tin that started very ‘dark’ and cocoalike when I popped the tin . It was just as nice .

The only criticism I have is the tins can be a bit sketchy . I ve had wonky lids , gaps and allsorts . Never affected the snuff yet though .  :)

N

Still working on my home brewed Chocolate snuff. Each batch has improved but not quite what I would finally like it to turn out to be.

M

@Pikey, yes, the lids on the little Chocolicious will just pop off in your pocket. I transfer all my little 6 Photos into an empty metal tin or an empty South African plastic tub. Those work well. And I stand by my earlier comment about Chocolicious. The menthol blends well, and the base tobacco is very good too.

P

The only chocolate I’ve tried is cobguy’s chocolate eclair. that’s some good stuff. It lasts quite awhile too. Then if if you haven’t had any other snuff after you can occasionally get the scent of chocolate in your nose for quite awhile in a good way. About an hour or so after my last pinch and it faded, I started sniffing wondering what that smell was and I got a bit of that chocolate smell. If you take a different snuff later, the chocolate doesn’t interfere with the snuff you take.

C

The only one I’ve tried is SG, which I find a bit too sweet.  I was expecting something more like their chocolate flake pipe tobacco, which I guess is more of a cacao powder thing than sweet milky chocolate.

Y

Mollens Chocomint is interesting, I get a Milk Chocolate flavor from it, as compared to WoS Chocolate mint, I get dark chocolate. Both I get only a little mint.

B

Fubar Bohica has the best chocolate smell. Just don’t get it anywhere near your mucous membranes  >:) I warned you! >:)

Y

I would expect that the Toque chocolate snuffs would be good because I get a hint of choclate from their base.

B

Dholakia Rose Chocolate is the longest lasting scented snuff on the planet

L

I always have a chocolate snuff as my daily driver…considering I like all of them, I would say the nicest ones are
Wos chocolate orange,Toque USA Chocolate, 6 Photos Chocolicius, and Dholakia Swiss Chocolate. They each have a different take to chocolate/cocoa. Der Kralise chocokreme was superb flavour wise but I was no fan of the course consistency

P

Just taken delivery of my first tin of McChrystals Chocolate or Aztec as its now known as, really impressed. Best way I can describe is toned down O&G with a smooth rich chocolate hit.

K

Does WoS Chocolate Orange still exist with a different name? I know they were almost all renamed after that dumb EU law. Really wanna try it.
