Cherry Blossom/ Sakura blossom snuff

Ok the road where i live is full of cherry trees, not sure what kind but every spring they come to life with beatiful pink and white blossoms that have sent fills the air and is absolutley amazing! I’ve been looking around and have not yet found to my astonishment no snuff at all that has cherry blossom scent…only cherries (and in a lot of cases simple artificial flavouring).I was wondering…first of all if someone out here knows of any cherry blossom scented snuffs…(noticed a lot of suggestions for toque new flavouring, but have not seen nothing buyable yet) and secondly…I’ve noticed there is a bit of home brewing going around so…has anyone got any idea what i could do to make it myself? I was thinking of putting the blossoms in water in a pressure cooker and some plain snuff in a bowl, could that be sufficient to transfer the scent? or am i on the perfect road for disaster?XD

I’ve sealed a plain snuff such as Toque Natural in a small container with flowers before with great success. I have used lemon, lime and orange blossoms from my own potted plants, lilly of the valley from the garden, and honeysuckle from the woods.

I’ve got cherries too, but they are some kind of wild cherry, pretty sour if you eat them and only about as big as a pea when ripe. The flowers do perfume the air because they are in such large quantity, but single ones have very little aroma, so maybe it would take a LOT of flowers to do a cherry blossom snuff. I also have a cherry laurel shrub, which flowers resemble cherry. Its usually very aromatic, but this year it was kind of lame for some reason.

hmm well considering i have a whole road…at the most passers by will think i am crazy picking up al the petals from the floor XD the litteraly make the road pink and tend to fall as soon as there is some wind ^^ true, on their own they dont seem particulary strong scented, maybe i could then just grind them up in something like a teabag(so i can remove it later) to make it more concentrated. Was hoping the presure cooker would speed up the process and make it more “concetrated” with the vapor and all

I hope you try it and let us know the results.

!!!Warning !!! every part of the cherry tree except the fruit is poison.

what!? seriously? O_O that escalated quickly…xD ok did some quick googleling and seems you are right… “Various types of Cherry Blossom flowers are very poisonous” but, well its not like I would be eating the blossoms…will have to find out first of all exactly what species of cherry tree these blossoms are coming from, hopefully they are of the "non poisonous " also I still feal confident they would only be bad for you if you eat them…if I never reply on the forum again, it means i was wrong XD

good idea, and good luck working it out. Needs about 20% more cherry blossom.

Wisteria,Foxglove,Hydrangea,Lily-of-the valley,Anthurium,Chrysanthemum,Oleander,Rhododendron,Narcissus, Aconitum,Castor oil plant,Datura, angel trumpets, deadly nightshade, belladonna, hen bane,Water Hemlock,English Yew,Daphne, all poisons and I am sure i have missed many more that may kill you. before using any natural scent do some research! It may just save your life. apricot tree all except fruit, Poison

And that, folks, is just one of the advantages of having a shaman in the basement.

well…hell, lucky i asked ! O_o seems like i would of ended up being the snuff XDD 20% stiffer lol.
