My husband has made several attempts to coax me to put this on next weeks order list. Although Toque makes one of my top 3 snuffs, I cannot believe such a flavor could possibly exist. Perhaps I’m being to judgemental and I should give this one a chance. I suppose when I think about what a snuff should be I think of leathers, florals, fruits and those hard to pinpoint smells from childhood like hikes in the forest and the smell of an old book…but cheese and bacon are two smells that I honestly don’t find any appeal too, although as food I adore both.

Anyone tried this flavor? And if so would it be worth trying?

H

I have not tried it, but I just wanted to say that you have no idea about the can of worms you just opened! lol

O

This afternoon I went through a whole 5g smash box of cheese and bacon in two hours. When I get on C&B I can’t put it down. It’s marmite snuff. Love it or hate it.

V

Just curious, what type of cheese would you say the aroma represents. Are we talking a potent blue or a mild cheddar?

L

It’s a nice mild cheddar with the bacon waaaay in the back. It’s like sniffing Krafts Olde English cheese spread.

S

Just shows you how noses differ…It reminds me of blue cheese. The scent is not overpowering but can stick with you.

D

it’s not marmite there is no marmite toque boo hiss we need yeastey goodness and we need it now.

yep for me it a blue cheese too

O

Stilton, definitely.

J

Love me some C&B now and then , tough I can certainly see why not everyone agrees with it . The only thing is , if you have a pinch , might as well settle for pinching it all day , the smell ain’t going away.

V

Another question. I know that I like to take Toque Coke when I’m craving a soda, is it the same with snuffs like cheese and bacon? Are you craving the foods, but would just prefer to smell them rather than eat them?

D

stilton and bacon toasted sandwich or cheese and bacon snuff that’s a tuff one

J

One thing I know for sure, Cheese and Bacon is in my next order just because of the many heated debates that ensue on this forum over it.  :)

D

For me it’s a blue cheese, but with a hit of something like Parmesan/Romano in the background.

@Jack Bingo. The cheese just lingers. It’s a hard snuff to just have a little of because it hangs around so long. It takes an really powerful snuff to get it overpowered. It reminded me of the saying power of QSnuff Sandalwood and 6 Photo Kalish.

B

It is HORRIFYING. All snuffers should try it at least once.

B

Cheese and Bacon is a polarizing snuff. I have heard of no one that believes it to be merely OK. They either love it or despise it. Personally I love it but it plugs me up after 2 pinches. So it’s a sometimes snuff.

Love it of hate it, C&B deserves inclusion in the Snuff History Hall of Fame simply for the genius involved in adding the scent to tobacco.  I am pretty sure Roderick still questions our sanity for liking it enough to make it one of his standard production snuffs.

T

You said it Bigmick. I have to admit it’s a love hate thing with me also, I hate taking it and for that matter making it but, I love the reactions it gets and am amazed at the sales figures it achieves. I’m sure not everyone in the Marmite factory loves their job.

V

I love how the man who makes it hates it, now that is awesome. Oh well, spiked my curiousity…I guess it’ll be on this weeks order. Now when do we get all the food flavors? Snuff instead of eat…flavors like:

-Eggs and bacon

-Spaghetti and meatballs

-Roasted chicken and gravy

maybe even some ‘side dish’ snuffs like. Potatoes, peas, mixed veggies…

What kills me is that if these snuffs existed…the gourmets would be all over them.

B

@Vepr, We’ve been at Roderick for ages for a BBQ bacon cheeseburger snuff… Although I’m hoping some high powered “normal” snuffs come out first.

T

Vepr,

You’ve got to listen to your Customers no matter how crazy they are! ;<) C&B started as a favour for a few friends and just went viral.

C

C&B is pure Danish Bleu Cheese and Ayrshire Bacon.

E

I love it, sometimes I wish it wouldn’t linger quite so long…sometimes hours later I wonder if it’s my feet as surely it can’t still be there. Then sometimes it goes away only to surprise you by shouting Aghhh! Cheese attack!!! When you least expect it. It’s a work of art that constantly makes you question what it’s all about and if you admire it or it’s just a piece of crap that the world could do without. A true masterpiece

V

@Toque

Well, if I had my own snuff company I’d do the absolute sickest thing possible…

I’d make a snuff called “crack of arse”, and see if anyone was actually nutty enough to try it, and I’d bet that there would indeed be some people, you know…the really hardcore types, the ones that eat scorpions and skydive naked…

Where I would get the essence for such a snuff makes me shiver…

B

@Vepr,  We already have a similar snuff to your dream. It’s called NTSU. It’s not quite the “crack of arse”… but close. lol

B

Don’t forget Dholakia white, smells of romance.

N

and Dholakia Black, smells of manure

G

I have to be honest, this is my favorite snuff from Toque. I don’t know why, but it just works for me.

V

I really don’t know if I have the balls to take this one…perhaps my husband is curious enough, but I fear blue cheese as much as earwigs…and thats pretty darn bad.

L

@vepr do it do it do it do it

O

Yes, do it, do it, do it. Like @Bish said, every Snuffer should try C&B at least once.

V

Ok…I did it. It’s on order, shipped airsure…it’ll be here in a week or so. I’ll be sweating bullets until then.

B

Hmm, not sure why this smells like a blue cheese to so many people.  To me it smells of a rather mundane cheddar at best, almost more like a processed cheese.  That being said, I do enjoy it.

B

Was deffo strong blue cheese to my nose. As observed many times over in this hallowed forum, there seems to be quite a range of noses!

B

I think I’ll happily never try this snuff. I love the smell of cheese but it’s not a scent I like hanging around for a long time.

L

I think why I don’t get the blue cheese smell, is because I don’t use blue cheese. I prefer ranch dressing with my hot wings.

B

Mmm, hot wings!!!

V

I don’t really know if I’d get the smell of blue cheese from this, as my lack of nasal turbinates in one nostril actually makes me smell this constant metallic scent…almost like blood. I suppose its the same reason I like weird snuff mixes. We all have unique senses of smell for sure.

J

The information that cstokes is giving is exact. It may or may not smell that way to you but Danish Bleu Cheese and Ayrshire Bacon is what it is.

V

@Juxtaposer,

That Ayrshire bacon…is that any good? Never seen it in the U.S.

M

I’d rather have that Buffalo Wings (hot wings) flavor. Not a cheese head, even though I live in the “dairy zone” of the US.

D

We’re famous for our potatoes, but that doesn’t mean I want it in my snuff either

H

I know what y’all mean, I’m in Virginia and I don’t want tobac…wait a minute… =P hehe

J

@Vepr From what some are saying Ayrshire bacon is very good (in this snuff) it’s the Danish blue cheese that there are problems with. I myself also live in the U.S. and I have never tried this Cheese and Bacon snuff.

V

@Juxtaposer,

Well I’m going to try it and the thought honestly makes me feel sick. I hate blue cheese so much that I freak out when my in-laws bring some over for the husband…I really wish they wouldn’t do that. I mean honestly it smells like old dirty socks! I guess it’s just hard to wrap my head around something so odd, the desire to smell cheese and bacon all day…

Oh well, to each his own. I’ll try it just to say I did.

T

“You must try everything in life at least once except incest and Morris dancing” Oscar Wilde.

C

*except

T

Thanks Cstokes, Dyslexia Rules KO!

C

Haha, it had a different meaning with accept.

T

Hadn’t thought of that!

X

Having tired Cheese & Bacon and lived, I can surmise that both incest and Morris dancing would be preferable. Vile stuff!

T

LOL!

T

Do you think the MD of Marmite loves or hates Marmite?

X

What’s the MD of Marmite?

for the record I don’t fall into a love/hate camp with that stuff. I don’t care for it, but I’d eat it before eating bleu cheese.

V

Holy crap, if incest and morris dancing are preferable to cheese and bacon…thats bad, thats really bad. Oh well I want a whale excretion (ambergris)  snuff…so I guess I’m just as twisted as those that enjoy dirty foot cheese snuff…

T

I wouldn’t mind marmite. I’m just not fond of very weird smells. No matter what comes out though, there’ll always be buyers I bet. In fact I would love Toque to bring out Surströmming flavour or something rotten just to see how many would like it.

Get it in bulk! :-&
