Since the US is legalising marijuana, am I the only one REALLY looking forward to some marijuana scented snuffs? The mere thought of it makes me go all weak the knees!
There is already Paul Gotard Hemp Aroma. I don’t have that one yet and I don’t not know how marijuana smells like exacly, so it’d rather have problems with sharing my opinnion on “does it has such an aromma indeed”.
With an immeasurable myriad of fantastic scents that marijuana has, I’m really looking forward to how this will affect the snuff world. Cannabis is my favourite smelling plant.

I stopped smoking weed a couple years out of high school but I always had to smell my friends stash when they pulled it out. I think some snuff of the dank would go over real well I would buy some. It would be my at home snuff tho. I would hate to get pulled over and try to explain that.
The smell is nice, but I was under the impression that the THC will not absorb into your system that way, maybe if it’s altered a bit somehow… Maybe that doesn’t matter to you, this is -of course- hypothetical…
Every time a skunk is in the air it take me back to my youth. And sometime when I burn the autumn leaves it also triggers memories of daze gone by.
cilantro is incredibly fragrant, why no cilantro snuff?

I love cilantro! S’pose one could try to find some cilantro essential oil- not sure if I’ve ever seen it. Coriander, from the same plant, might be easier… Would think it should be on a very neutral-smelling base tobacco. Speaking of spices: tumeric, cardomon, galangal, basil…why not?
I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but: 1. Just 2 states had referendums for legalizing it. There are still 48 other states? A few already have medical MJ stuff, but most insist that it is illegal. 2. It is still a FEDERAL crime in the US. Even when the states make it legal, Federal law can still be enforced. Recently, at Fed urging, California shut down a ton of dispensaries there. So, is it legal or not? Since they still put people in prison for possession of a plant (an outrageous concept) it still appears to be illegal. 3. Even in WA and CO, it is still illegal. They haven’t done anything yet. Who knows what the state legislators will actually DO with this referendum? I bet a lot of them weren’t happy about it - they like fining and locking people up for nothing. My friends in WA just rolled their eyes and said something along the lines of “Yeah, we will see just how Olympia screws this up like they do everything else.” Also - are you talking about the smell of the herb or the burning smell? They seem different. My neighbors all toke up and it stinks to high heaven. I cannot imagine wanting that aroma. I mean, as a still-hooked cig smoker, I sure wouldn’t want a snuff that smells like burning ciggies - they stink. I detest the smell. I would pay NOT to have a snuff that stinks that badly - and I think that would follow for burning cannabis stink too (at least the stinkweed my neighbors are all blazing). I guess that’s just my opinion. Here in Canuckistan, the Senate tried to initiate a program to legalize it a few years ago. The US government basically made severe threats not to do that (things like closing the border, boycotting Canadian products, etc. - despite the free trade agreement). Eventually the Senators dropped the whole thing, even though the majority of Canadians don’t think that a plant (any plant) should be illegal. I think the basic struggle for sanity and liberty is still in its infancy. I see more prohibition, more totalitarianism, more governmental control in the near future, rather than less. “Logic” and “government” never seem to meet up anywhere…heck, snus is illegal in most of Europe, and importation into Canada is made routinely difficult, and that is just tobacco… On a happier note, I agree that lots of herbs have great aromas - cilantro, basil, oregano, rosemary, sage - the list is long. We are lucky to live on a planet with such abundant nice smelling plants! Geraldo the Downer (sorry)
I get what you’re saying, for sure. However, in many folk’s opinion, this is a huge amount of change happening quickly- consider the other states attempting to follow suit. It may still be a ways down the line, but the rate of change may be accelerating-sure seems to me that’s the case. If the state level government will (as they said- we’ll see…) not pursue people for minor possession, and the feds don’t “declare war” against those states in a major way, the feds would really be chasing their tails pursuing personal use and small time dealers. Seems to me that they just wouldn’t have the resources and/or manpower to go after any small- time “cannabis people”. Now I’m not going to express my personal opinion about what way I want the law to be- you could find my official stance elsewhere, I wouldn’t want to get booted from this forum. I just have a feeling about the direction this is going. I’m not encouraging anybody to break the law, we’re all adults here, use your own judgement, what you do in these kind of matters is none of my business…
I was referring just to the smell of the plant, not when burned, just it’s natural flowers.
I’ll admit I do like the scent too, of many different varieties of it actually. I had some “gummi bear” type candies (from Canada I believe) flavored with drug-free cannabis oil, very tasty!
I also have a coriander snuff that is fantastic. I just love the multitude of plant scents readily available.
Measure 80 didn’t pass here in Oregon. I voted for it, but only because I believe people should be able to make their own decisions about what they choose to put in their body. So if there ever is a marijuana scented snuff to be found I think it would be good to have.
