can you use nasal snuff orally?

as the heading says can you use nasal snuff orally?

It depends on the snuff. American scotches and sweets can be used orally, obviously. I’ve also dipped coarse South African snuffs like NTSU, which works pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend anything else, but I haven’t tried it with many.

I’ve done it with scotches, but the drip is harsh. I prefer the nicotine rush I get when I snuff scotches. It’s also tricky not to get it on your teeth. I offered a pinch of Toque Chocolate to a dude who dipped it. I don’t think it worked too well.

ive dipped toque quit to stave of cravings for cigs as i was waiting for a delivery of snus. i put it in a piece of muslin it tasted fine and definatly got a nic hit. was just wondering about other peoples experiences and opinions

I have dipped Bohica. I don’t recommend making it a habit. In India they use snuff orally often. They even have it in a paste; IPCO Creamy Snuff provides the unique ability to enjoy tobacco by touch or contact without its consumption such as via smoking or chewing of tobacco. IPCO creamy snuff, is applied using a toothbrush or your fingers.

My local Indian market sells IPCO or Dentobac, I forget which. I bought a tube once for fun. Pretty good buzz, but weird taste (clove and menthol) and weird sensation.

@chris_lover_of_snuff I think you could do any American scotch orally (It is still in the air on what they where designed for) and laughing thinking of someone saying something like “We don’t care where you stick it, just buy it” but my question would be why? It is proven that tobacco products used orally will shrink your gums leading to tooth loss

Back in my teen’s I took a bit of Poschl Sam Gawith Apricot in the lip. All I know was it was tasty at the time, but probably hard to manage.

I like taking a nice big snuff of Scotch and then dipping a damp toothpick into the same snuff and placing it in the mouth.Kinda like getting the best of both worlds…and a bit more of a nic buzz too

It is a common practice in India, snuff is mostly used as a dentifrice.

Yes you can. But the big question is Y ?

I think I recall reading a letter a member posted in some thread ( about swisher may be title ) try searching for swisher in search box , anyway the letter was written from some CEO from swisher who stated in the body of the letter that his snuffs were for oral consumption , but he certainly mentioned that it is up to the individual how they choose to use the product ( obv he don’t care if you hide it in your keister as long as you purchase it ) anyway that was SWISHERS representation of how it was intended to be ingested

OK FOUND THE LETTER RROM THE SWISHER CEO HERE’S THE LINK http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.culture.tobacco.snuff/9600 SO FUNNY HOW HE WAS INFORMED BY HIS EMPLOYEE WHO HAS SEEN NASAL SNUFF ( he didn’t want to be personally informing about nasal snuff in letter, so it on a unknown employee - who didn’t exist … Lol … Of course he goes on to describe European products…CORPORATE AMERICA… Full of liabilities…legalize…lighten up guys…Jeez

I have a can of Swisher’s Square Snuff and I don’t think I will be putting it in my mouth any time soon! :))

Reminds me of this video =)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKH1DPI45G8

I’ve taken SG Black Coffee and rubbed it on my gums, maybe a couple other snuffs too. I saw someone on youtube wet a tooth pick and then poke it into the snuff, and take the snuff orally that way.

This thread is a gold mine for the out of context quote page!

easier then you can use oral snuff nasally

When I first started snuffing and my nose was very raw, I had a pinch and used sort of a reverse whistle to taste the snuff. There I think I phrased that so I wouldn’t end up in that “out of context page”

I always prefer to stick it where it traditionally belongs, never in the mouth, but if you do make sure you don’t swallow. That can make you sick. There, no-one could possibly misinterpret that post! :))
