is there a butterscotch snuff? i have been asked by a friend, and it sparked my interest too.

X

No. But there should be. I’ve created my own with combos in the past. I think @Roderick could do it.(Its a shame he doesn’t know what root beer smells like- Jaap Bes nailed Gingerbread after we tasked him with it (and we knew he was the right choice due to snuff style). Which miller can pinpoint butterscotch? (my vote Toque). Should we save this scent for a future hopeful American craft miller (Dark Horse - are you listening? (the beer makers here have certainly [performed from that mold, but I thnk both Jaap and Roderick are up to the challenge, provided both are familiar with the flavor. ???

F

well i dont find toques to be strong enough in flavour really, but i would like to see a toque attempt. i would also very much like to see an abraxas attempt haha.

P

Butterscotch Snuff, that’s a great idea !! :)>-

M

@perique I second that! :-bd

S

If there is enough interest I could ask my flavour supplier if he will give it a try. Jaap Bes.

F

well i for one would most definitely be up for buying it. my girlfriend too perhaps, and she doesnt really snuff. (though she kept a gletscher prise with her till her parents found it haha).

O

I think butterscotch would be amazing.

F

I could go for a butterscotch snuff.

Sometimes I mix a little GH or WoS cinnamon to a sweet scotch (Three Thistle works best IMO) and call it my Cinnamon-Butterscotch blend. Well, its not really tasting of butterscotch, although it reminds you of it somewhat, but its something good. Then sometimes I go really silly and mix that blend with some WoS Grand Cairo and call it “Melange” and when I take it I pretend I am a Guild Navigator folding space for one of the Great Houses on an important mission, just like my buddy @Cstokes4 does in his day job. Its actually a good combination of scents, but sorry that’s just a tangent to the butterscotch topic. ;

C

The Melange is very good.

F

any particular reason you call it melange haha?

X

@frestarter0 Yes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melange_(fictional_drug) Its a reference to the Dune sci-fi series.

F

i just wondered why that drug in particular haha, is it a good blend? im interested in trying blending again, see, so i want to start somewhere good, rather than just being told to mix and see what happens.

Yeah, I like it, and I sent some to C Stokes and he liked it. I came up with the combination of those three because 1) melange is described as having a cinnamon odor, 2) a long running ribbing I’ve given Stokes is that with his piles and piles of Grand Cairo he hoards, he reminds me of a mutant (Guild navigator) from the books that are so addicted that they have to live in a containment tank of melange spice gas/dust. And 3) because I was first experimenting with snuffs at the same time I was first reading the Dune books (which affected me profoundly), in the early '90s and Three Thistle sweet was one of the ones I used at the time, and wondered if the spice bore any resemblance to snuff at the time. So its just a personal whimsical concoction, but it turned out alright.

Sorry, I don’t mean to hijack the thread. This is supposed to be about a potential butterscotch snuff! :-@

F

right, itll end there, but thats a great background haha. i must get the cinnamon and TT sweet to try it. im similar for grand cairo, i love it, could never be without.
