Bulk storage question

Hi all - I have some bulk snuff coming in from WoS, of a snuff which I also have several older tins of (Rose). One of the older tins that I have is fresh, wonderful, and lovely. Two are a bit dried out and the scent has faded. I’m debating whether or not I should add these older tins to the 260g of bulk that I have coming in the mail to revive them by some sort of solera system… Anyone have any experience doing this? I wouldn’t want to harm the new bulk stuff with stale older snuff, but on the other hand it would be great to revive it. Many thanks! Willymac

I have done it. My advice would be to rehydrate the snuff via indirect method then dump it in. I did this with about 60g of Princes, worked fine for me.

Brilliant! Cheers, Chris!

If you are unsure about rehydration, check this thread: http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/5228/rehydrating-snuff/&nbsp

I prefer to see older snuff be used in flavoring experiments. Nothing wrong with a fresh rose snuff though.

Juxtaposer - I agree wholeheartedly, actually - that’s a great idea!

I like hydrating with natural base. In a large Tupperware with lid spread out the old snuff and put flavor items in with snuff cover and wait. Rose use fresh roses, lime use lime peal, lemon with lemon peal.and so on. the dry snuff will absorb the moisture along with the scent. To avoid this timely process store your snuff in air tight glass jars of your choice.

Any comments on the Tightvac? BTW. good advice basement
