Bugger, snus stain removal?

F

not sure if this should be here or off topic, but i wanted to get the attention of snusers. a portion somehow fell onto my mattress, anyone know the best way to remove it? looks a bit dodgy with a brown stain right in the middle, im in rented accommodation.

U

Turn it over :)>- Now you see it - now you don’t

F

wish i could get away with that haha, but theyll turn it over to check when we move out and probably charge extortionate amounts (student).

T

There are a variety of stain removal products at your local supermarket/wal-mart. Resolve (brand name) works pretty well for pet stains, so I would assume it would probably work well for snus stains as well. Assuming its a white mattress, a diluted bleach solution might work as well.

J

Suck it out! That’s what I do for my pillow cases.

C

Try Oxyclean. If that doesn’t work try scrubbing it out with some baking soda and peroxide. And if all else fails, maybe some color safe bleach.

F

its a white mattress, i just didnt want the bleach to make it yellow as ive known it to do in the past. ill have a look round, thanks.

C

Scrub out what you can then use diluted bleach. High-end bleach shouldn’t leave yellow residue. Another thing that might work is some clear laundry detergent. You will probably need some surfaction to release the stain.

N

I second Oxyclean, if anything there will be a white patch in the center of your mattress after using it.

U

If all that fails put a load of snuff in a bowl of water, take a paint brush and paint the entire mattress snuff brown to give it a nice even colour :-S

W

oxyclean only! Very dilute and lots of blotters.

The carpet cleaner solution I found is best. Foam it up, apply foam only with a sponge ,scrub with a brush ,shop vac the moisture. If that don’t work go to the local dry cleaners and ask to buy some solution and how to use it.

When you think you have her cleaned up well, run a black light over it to make sure all the stains are actually removed.
